BCSC IDPA

International Defensive Pistol Association at Berrien County Sportsmans Club

Welcome to BCSC IDPA

Welcome to IDPA at the Berrien County Sportsmans Club in Berrien Springs, Michigan! We are an IDPA affiliated club that hosts monthly matches from April through October.

If you enjoy practical pistol shooting in a realistic scenario-based environment, this is for you!  Concealed pistol license holders - men and women alike - can practice self-defense tactics for responsible concealed carry and enhanced personal security, competitive shooters can enjoy the pistol match competition, and everyone can shoot for personal improvement or just for fun.  Shoot on-the-move, multiple target engagement, shoot from behind cover, strong-hand/weak-hand only shooting, and much more!

If you need more reasons...please read The Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Shoot IDPA from Hanguns Magazine.

Range Etiquette

In order to keep everything moving to ensure we can get in as much shooting as possible, we have a few requests:

  • BCSC operates a "cold" range. Firearms are to be unloaded at all times unless shooting a CoF.
  • Firearms are to be handled only in the designated "safe area" or on the firing line when directed by the SO to "load and make ready".
  • Load magazines and speed loaders while waiting your turn to shoot.
  • Help pick up brass and tape up targets between shooters.
  • Most importantly, be safe and have fun!
