![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | SPECIAL NEEDS PUPPY MISSY (Little Miss Muffet) 5 month old female border collie This wonderful pup is everything you would look for in a new companion. She is easy to get along with. Wants to please both dogs and people. Bright and eager to learn. Lovely soft temperament and pretty too. Loves playing but has an off switch. She is active but not driven like a normal working dog. She is a laugh a minute as she runs about after the other dogs she is living with calling “wait for me!”. You will fall for her as soon as you see her. Unfortunately Missy is unable to work as she has a medical condition that affects her movement, although all you'd notice is a wobbly hind leg and a head wobble when she is concentrating on something. Her intelligence is not affected. Because of this she is looking for a pet home that will care for this special little girl and understand her funny high stepping walk and wobbly flop. Like all intelligent breeds she will need training so she learns the rules and keeps her mind active. Her new family will need to be able to cope with funny looks from passers by and deal with questions about what is wrong with her. In return they will have a lovely cuddly personality who enjoys being with humans and looks to them to guide her. Time with her to make sure she stays trim, fit and strong will be a lifetime commitment. She would suit a person or family who have similar goals for their own lives as she will need moderate exercise and a healthy diet. She has been assessed by two Vets and information about her health and long term likely outcomes is available for any one with an interest in giving her a place in their hearts. She has been brought up with a number of dogs and has not been left alone for long periods without dog or human companions so she would need to learn to cope while left alone if she doesn’t have a playmate. She could be an outside dog as long as she has lots interaction with her family when they are home but would prefer to be inside at least at night. She has had an adventurous time in the past few weeks with her first bath, her first car ride, her first night spent inside and her first encounter with that puppy in the mirror. She has coped with all this very well, has slept through the night till dawn and is on her way to learning about going outside to the toilet, toys and pigs ears and all those good things in puppy life. Missy is microchipped, C3 vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm medication. She will be desexed prior to adoption. Missy is available for $250 Please contact Maureen for more information on Missy. 0408 270 525 Maureen_Lewis@bigpond.com It would be helpful for your email to provide comment under each of the following headings: 1. your type of home, suburb, and contact number, 2. who lives there, 3. your lifestyle and work hours, 4. where the dog will live and sleep, 5. how it would be trained, socialised and exercised, 6. other pets in the home (if any), 7. description of yard and fencing. |

![]() | Zoe - medium female border collie cross
Zoe was left at the pound along with her brother Zach because their owner of six months "developed an allergy" to them. Zoe is a little more confident than her brother but both are shy and lacking in confidence yet they are so very, very gentle and soft. They warm up quickly though and are they do love cuddle and pats. Two very soft natured dogs who would absolutely blossom in a quiet home. It is preferred in this instance, that both dogs are rehomed together. Both dogs are incredibly bonded and don't venture too far from each other at all times. They play beautifully together but love human interaction, they just need a gentle loving home, so they can grow in confidence. Zoe is about small Border Collie size and Zach is slightly taller but is about average BC size. Both dogs only have only moderate excercise needs link to petrescue listing |
![]() ![]() | Patti - medium female border collie cross kelpie, 9 yo
Patti is a beautiful natured girl who is very dog social and very sweet generally. We can't understand, how such a lovely girl could be surrendered by her family to the pound, at her age of 9 yrs. Patti is very responsive to requests for 'drops' and 'sits' and she is still quite active ...and she just loves a game of 'throw the ball'. She would be a lovely addition to virtually any home with or without another dog in the family and whilst she will chase the ball or go for a good walk, she will happily just veg out after. She is good in the car, she is about your average BC height although she is slightly on the chubby side. Link to petrescue listing |
![]() ![]() | Alec - medium male border collie cross kelpie, 2 yo
Alec is a particularly pretty tri-coloured predominantly Border Collie. His general coat colour is lovely dark blue/grey.Alec gets along beautifully with other well mannered dogs and he adores people. He is a very gentle fellow who would do well in a household with another equally gentle dog. Alec is just a really nice natured young dog who is keen to please. Alec is also super smart and is a quick learner. He is not bouncy for such a youngster and he can go for a good run and then happily crash out. Alec is about average Kelpie height and build.
