It was back in the Golden Age of June 2004.
One bright spark called Tom Bolton had the great idea of entering us into the local five-a-side league at Garstang leisure centre. At first we were not sure but it turned out to be a great idea. Along with Matt Sanderson the trio (Joyce, Bolton and M.Buer) set up a team. As the main founder we let Bolton choose the name and we have not looked back since. He settled on the name of Real Baghdad. The name became very popular and has now virtually created its own society!
The first season did not get off to the best of starts but as the team became more setted we walked to the title with the best defensive and attacking records in the league.
We have now started the new season with a new team name, B.C.M.G which again was the brainchild of Tom Bolton. When we started the new season Brian Clough had just died and we decided to pay tribute to him by calling the team, Brian Clough Memorial Group.
In the new season we have done alright reaching second ready for a customary rise up the table at the end of the season.
