Contract Expiration

How a Contract Ends

Alternative Filing

  1. The potental contractor contacts any registered and non-probationary member of the caste (log this encounter).

  2. The potental contractor and potental contractee discuss the desired mark, payment, and other pertinant information (including a log of the offense that the contract is based on).

  3. If the registered and non-probationary deems all as valid and wishes to take part in the hunt he must receive complete payment for the Assassination.

  4. With all of the above standards met the Assassin in question then fills out a blank contract as if it came from the original contractor and sends it to the caste scribe (including both a log of the offense and a log of the agreement with the contractor).

  5. The Assassin in question will also deposite the collected monies into the caste treasury (send a scroll to the second chair of the deposit. CC a copy to the Ubar, or one of his Council members).

  6. The contract will be reviewed to ensure it is for a valid reason. (IE: not for the kidnapping of a kajira, mun crossing, so on so forth)

Rarely will contracts be given to select Killers. This gives the Assassin a chance to interact with others, and have them gain their own contracts like a rat race. Again, the way it's supposed to be within the books. Contracts aren't always handed out from Council to their Assassins, Assassins were hired by the herd. Roleplay is the top priority.

Canceling a Contract

  1. Cancellation by the Leader; Vetoed: This occurs when there are extenuating circumstances where it is in the best interest of the Brotherhood to no longer permit it.

  2. Notice of Cancellation: This occurs when the contractor decides for one reason or another that he/she wants to withdraw the contract. This must be done In Character and In Writing (or thru direct IC contact with the Hunter if inital contract was made thru this direct contact with the same Hunter).

A contract does not end if the contractor dies so long as payment was received in full.

This does not apply to contracts that were unable to be completed. Contracts where a physical attempt was made but missed will have their payments returned in full.

Filing A Contract

  • Valid and Realistic Story Line
  • Contacted a Killer IC to enhance storyline.
  • Understanding of Money
  • Contractor filled out contract correctly.
  • When the Assassin fails too many times. Three is usually the limit and the Killer is put on Assassination Probation.

Steps To Fill Out A Contract

  1. Fill out the blank contract form 'in full' (following directions)
  2. Place offered payment in a dark pouch or sack.
  3. Place both pouch/sack and contract in a small chest.
  4. Close and latch the small chest but do not lock it.
  5. Send to the Assassin Chosen, if any. If none is chosen, send to the Master of Assassins.

If the chest is returned to the contractor without the sack and contract then the mark is dead and the contract fullfilled.

If the chest is returned to with the sack of coins still inside then your contract was was not attempted for one of several reasons, of which you may or may not be notified.

If the latter is the case then you may get a notice stating the reasons for such.

Once the below form has been filled out in entirety, it should be mailed to both the contractee (The Assassin you are asking to kill for you) and the Master of Assassins.

Information about the Target: (this is information you can give us to speed up the killing process... such as times of day they are on, places they go, PR links, friends, family, associates, etc... anything you can think of)

Your reason for wanting the contract: (explain to us in your own words and in detail why you want this contract. Also include a log of the offense. Highlight the pertinant parts of the log we need to look at as we each aren't going to pick thru a log looking for what your talking about. Paste the log into the mail, if you attatch a file to your contract your contract will be denied w/o review.)
