The Hornets Nest is a group of friendly volunteers that provide free tournaments.
To play a tourney click the top link on home page "Click to Play" Now click "Free Tournaments" to get a list of free tournaments presently set up in BBO.
This will put you in the tourney index room for all the scheduled tourneys. When you click a tourney BBO will take you to that tourneys room. The hornet tourneys will have "hornet" in the name and the host will usually be bbohornets.
After you select a tournament the window will change to that tourney room for chat and running the game just as if you were in a zone room. The Registration button in the selected room will open a screen and you will see all players registered so far for this game and a box to put you known partners name in. If you are looking for a partner then you click the Partnership button. This will open a window that shows all players who would like a partner. You may click each player to see their profile. If you see a player you would like to partnership then click send invitation. If players accepts then you are registered. You may also simply add your name to list and let others find you. If friends only tourney and name is rejected then you should send BBO name to hornets@hotmail.com before registration.
After BBO confirms you registration then you may stay in room and chat or go to the regular games for practice play. No need to watch the clock. Once the tourney starts and both players are anywhere in BBO, you will be automatically transported back to the tourney room and a table in that room for start of play.
The Hornets' Nest expects all to be nice.
BBO player rules may be found by clicking "Tournament Rules" under tournaments.
There may also be specific game rules made by host such as "English only chat while playing hand"
