Hornet Mission

Our mission is to have enjoyable tournaments run in a fair, fun, and friendly manner. All of our tourneys are free.

The hornets nest has some unique features not found in any other club. Our Photo album is indexed with cropped thumbnails that lead to original picture. Our alpha order hornet achievement awards are a fun way to watch progress and achievement. Members also retain history of their true Match Point averages for month-to-date and cumulative. This average is used to determine stratified intermediate (under 50%) results for each hornet game so that players may see how well they do among peers and receive stratified fun points. We also have our monthly Open and Intermediate champions.
And not least we have Toto's Tiding by Dorothy.

Fred Gitelman - BBO founder - Grand Life Master

Though only in his early forties, Fred is the uncontested computer guru of the bridge world. Born in Toronto but now residing in Las Vegas with his wife, Sheri Winestock and dog Magic, he has revolutionized the hobby with a profusion of innovative concepts making the game available to people worldwide through cyberspace. A University of Toronto computer science student, he dropped out to play bridge and soon afterwards became a programmer for a bridge player operated software company. Together with Sheri, Fred founded Bridge Base, Inc. originally concentrating on educational bridge CD-ROMS but soon turning their attention to Bridge Base Online (BBO), the world's most successful online bridge service, as well as software for producing vugraph shows for live audiences and the Internet.
