Bay Ridge Rescue Squad

"Caring for our community"

About Us

Organized in 1957, the Bay Ridge Rescue Squad, Inc. is one of three emergency squads serving the residents and visitors of the Town of Queensbury, which is located in southern Warren County, NY.  Our primary coverage area is the Bay Ridge and South Queensbury Fire Districts.  We currently operate two Advance Life Support (ALS) ambulances, one ALS Medic 1st Response Unit and one Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Unit out of one station. In 2006, we responded to just under 1000 calls for service.   In order to assure adequate daytime staffing, our volunteers are supplemented by paid personnel Friday through Tuesday 6am - 6pm.  In 2007, the Bay Ridge Rescue Squad will be celebrating 50 years of "caring for our community".

The Bay Ridge Rescue Squad currently has two members who are serving overseas.  AEMT-I Jim Haggerty and AEMT-P Tom Kovacs have both been activated for active duty and both are currently deployed in Afghanistan.  Let's all keep them in our thoughts and prayers.  We miss you guys...and pray you both get home safe...

The Bay Ridge Rescue Squad recently took delivery of a 2007 Horton Type III Ambulance on a Ford 450 chassis (Ambulance 720)

Would you like to help serve your community?  Joining the Bay Ridge Rescue Squad is easy and new applicants are always  welcome.  Stop by the station and take a look around.  Our monthly drill is held the 1st Wednesday of every month at 1900 hours.  Our monthly meeting is held the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 1900 hours.
