                                DJ Insight

DJ Insight aka Ollie Evans has always had an ear for music, he's been going to festivals since he was just 5yrs old. 'I grew up with music around me, my parents used to take me to loads of different festivals, it was great. As I got older I started to wander round Glastonbury Festival with my friends, we would hang out together & listen to the different sounds of the festival. I can remember arriving at Glastonbury in 1995 to see the dance tent for the first time, I was 14 yrs old & too young to go to night clubs, I had never seen anything like it!' This gave Insight the inspiration to get into DJing. 4yrs later Insight bought his first set of turntables & within a year he was already a regular DJ at clubs & bars in the local area. Not too much longer after that he was playing backstage at Glastonbury Festival & was soon to become a regular, they enjoyed his DJ sets so much they asked him back the following year. Insight has now played in the backstage bar for the past 4yrs. He has gone on to warm up for Full Cycle at Ashton Court Festival in Bristol & in 2002 he finished 3rd place at Drive By's DJ competition in Bath. 2005 saw Insight win the www.liquidfunk.co.uk online DJ competition & warm up for Mampi Swift & IC3 @ Rebirth. It's been a flying start to 2006 with DJ sets @ Knowledge Magazines 'Bar Knowledge' night in Shoreditch, London, a warm up set for Andy C & Eksman for the 'Nightlife 3' launch party in Plymouth, a DJ set at 'Dubplate Killaz 2' for Infidelity @ Level in Bristol & not forgetting Bedlam's Valve night @ both The Brunel Rooms in Swindon & The Carling Academy, Bristol & not forgetting his appearances at various venues up & down the country. Insight is now a resident for 'Rinseout' in Exeter, you can catch him on rotation alongside some of the big names in the game. He has recently returned to the UK after playing his international debut @ Batofar for 'Flavour Of The Month' in Paris. Watch this space...

DJ G-RAT, I First started listening to UK Garage when i was about 14, then when i was about 15 i started listening to oldskool Drum And Bass, didn't start mixing Drum And Bass till i was allmost 16, for about a year or so all i did was mix in my room with my mate's mainly just learning and having a larth, i started mixing online to my friends when i learnt how to set my own shoutcast running from my home pc, after a while i got onto a online station, the station was part of a irc network and thats when i got into irc, i left there for another station didnt stay there long, Then i desided to start my own online station and my own web site and run my own irc network, did that for about a year and now im here on ukbassradio, i have stoped my own stream now and plan to stay here a suport Ukbassradio and to keep on learning :D
