The Basset Hound List

      This is Bandit he is two years old and purebred basset he loves to play and bark at the cats he loves everyone and is very smart he is a very happy dog and i love him.             This is droopy the black bassethound he is adorable and friendly he hates cats though he's in love with a poodle across the street he is very intelligent and hansome and i love him very much!                           This is Roscoe T. Justice he plays around alot he an't much of a house dog so i go out and play with him everyday he's intelligent and likes to eat alot and i'd do anything for this angel i love him very much!            This is Jezabell When you want to play, her eyes get bright and wide eyed and she starts to wag her tail. She jumps around and barks and runs around in circles. Then, when you just want to sit and be still, she puts her head on my lap and lets me know that everythings ok. She's the sweetest dog that I have ever met and I'm glad that she's mine. :)          This is Buster Brown  when he wants out of the backyard, he just takes his head and unlatches the gate and pushes it open! Then he comes around to the front door and begs to be let in i just love it when he does it he's the best dog ever!                                       This is Buddy he really wants to eat people food! When we sit down to dinner, he barks and yaps like he's griping at us. And if he does something to get in trouble and he gets scolded, he talks back! He is like a four-legged kid.             This is Rosco he is so protective of me that he gets upset when I pet Buster, our other dog, or when my husband gives me a hug he's such a funny dog!                          This is Louis Bayou Boyd  when his mama comes home after running errands, and at the end of the day when he knows he is at home he is one cute hound!            This is Katie she's lazy and she's pretty and she's very unique because she's one of those hounds who hunt alot ,she's a hunting dog and i love her and she's happy because she get's rewarded with a treat always.                                     This is Jersey he just loves when visitors stop in. He gets so excited, that he usually runs around the house , barking and showing off for the visitors. we call his runs "The basset 500 ".                       This is Truman he likes to howl ALOT  he's noisy but i love him what's funny about him is that he snores in his sleep.       This is Gabbie she's a very funny puppy no matter what she does she's spolied but i love her anyway.

Hi there! My name is Rosie May Darling. Mommy saved me from the puppy store where she works! When no one loved me or wanted me, Mommy did. She always says she fell in love when she say me playing with a little boy that was in the store. She begged Daddy for me (like she did for Ralph) and he left the choice up to her. She came in and bought me for 100 dollars when i was already 5 months old. Since then, lifes been sweet. I love stealing clothes from the hamper. Especially, Daddys boxers and Mommys bra (awesome to play tug of war with!). I'm the fastest puppy! I'm pretty speedy when it comes to chasing all my friends at the dog run. My biggest assets are probably my ears and paws. I'll admit it, THEY'RE HUGE! But thats what makes me unique. (Look at my brother below!)

Hi, my name is Ralph Maxwell Darling and I'm a Basset Hound. I live at home with my Mommy and Daddy, and my  sister,  Rosie. I'm still a puppy so I'm what my Mommy likes to call a trouble maker. I'm a growing boy so I like to eat everything I see. Which is probably why I wake my Daddy up every morning at 6 am to feed me and my sisters. I love to be outside and get excited when I hear the closet door, to where our leashes are kept, open. Two of my most favorite things in the world are my stuffed frog and rawhide. Gotta have the rawhide baby. Thats about it for me. 

 

This is Fred.  One Sunday last November my sister and I went to the mall to pick up a few things.  I needed some post-operative shoes.  On the way out my sister said "we have to stop and see the puppies before we leave".  Need I say more?!?

 

PS.  I never did buy those shoes.

 

This is Patrick.  One Sunday last May I went to the mall to buy curtains for the living room (yes the same mall I went to for shoes).  On the way out I stopped in to see the puppies (yes same pet store where I found Fred).  Need I say more?!?

 Im Luca the Bassethound im sweet andi hate it when my hansome daddy leaves me im a man's lady im inlove with him i enjoy going to the park with him and kissing him who says you can't be in love with a man?!

i realy love tracking any humans who think they can hide from this nose.

i realy enjoy howelling with my mama on the couch.

and of course samantha is my hero, because she makes it possible for me to see my daddy on the weekends. i realy love her shes the best ever.

i cant have any treats or foods that are corn based because corn gives me ear infections and hot spots so its nothing but top of the line food and treats for me.

i miss the old days, you know a few years ago.

  My name is Bonnie.  I have been at my new home for only a few weeks, but am already spoiled rotten.  I am very entergetic, and fistey.  I love to roam around out side, but Mom always has her eyes on me.  Guess she just doesn't trust me too much yet.  I'm not fond of bath time yet, I'm sure you will notice in pics Mom will be posting.  I try to be indepentant and take naps in my own bed, but at night when I am ready for bed I go wine at the side of Mommy and Daddy's bed til they out me up there w/them.  Clyde usually joins us a while later when he gets lonely.  I don't see what the big deal is.....Daddy already lets Peanut sleep w/every night, and my 4 yrs old brother Hudson usually ends up in there too.  I just think they need a bigger bed. 

 Im Clyde am more laid back but still a handful.  Our mommy's name is Jennifer.  She use to be a vet. tech. and loves all animals.  Dogs are her fave of corse.  Before we moved here she use to rescue and raise Great Danes, and rescue English Bulldogs Im Bonnie's brotherWe are the 1st Bassets she has ever had.  She seen me one week end and could not resist.  We have an older sister named Peanut.  She is Daddy's little princess.  She is a Chihuhuaha.  Lucky Bonnie and I have each other, cause Peanut does not care to play with us.

i love the wind in my hair, i really want to look like this when i grow up, which will be pretty soon (Picture above) i going to be one year old in a couple of weeks. my mom and dad choose me out of all the doggies at the pet store even out of my little sister, everyone said she was the "pretty one" but who cares my mom and dad love me more than anything and anyone in the world, i am an only child but i heard rumors of a cat becoming part of our family, which will be ok i guess, i will always be the baby.

i guess i can teach her about "the look", i always get what i want! we are planning our family vacation pretty soon, i cant wait to meet some of my moms family, i know they will love me.

Im Holly i am a spoiled 3 yr old Basset Hound .Who has 6 siblings,that consists of 2 human brothers ,2 Basset Hounds ,Copper & Blue,a Min PIn mix  Taz,& a Chihuahua  Oliver,and my mommy & daddy,who made me the spoiled brat that I am today.I love going to my Uncle Dons house to play with my doggy cousin Buddy.I love to sun myself and to dominate the rest of the gang.

We rescued Boomer from P.L.U.T.O Rescue. 

  This is Boomer his first family bought him from a pet store at a mall, they kept him for a few months and turned him over to a Rescue Agency.  We saw Boomer at Petsmart, and it was love at first sight.  He rolled over for my husband, and that was it took! For two weeks my husband asked about Boomer, and finally we went back and adopted Boomer from the rescue agency.  Boomer is a great family member, and a wonderful addition to our pack!  We love him.  We also have a Yorkie, who is the leader of the pack.  She loves to drive him nuts by stealing his stuff. She's older, so she really doesn't like to play with him.  He goes to the dog run every day, where he actually runs around with other basset hounds and his other friends.  

 

 

I am Mr. Fred. I LOVE to bark and tell you whats on my mind..even when I really have nothing to say..I will still tell you! I love to play and cuddle and love attention.. I can sit at the kitchen table like a human..and when I want something I get it! I am very stubborn... but really cute.. I have all kinds of wrinkles that my mom and dad seem to love!!!!! I use to live at a house where they left me outside all the time and never played with me.. but my dad took me home a few months ago where I get to sleep inside even sometimes in their bed..I get toys, treats and lots of love...My parents loved me so much they just got a baby basset hound!

I am Ginger..... my mommy and daddy found me a really neat ranch where I lived with my doggie sisters (we were ALL girls) I am AKC registered and totally adorable.... it was love at first site...... I already know my name and how to sit.. I love to give kisses and cuddle .. I sleep right between my mommy and daddy every night.. I have really big feet..my mom calls them gorilla feet... I am a pretty girl..so they tell me! I love toys and to chew.. I promise I am going to be just a stubborn as mr.fred.... I recently found my voice and realized the joy of being a basset hound!

 

Now I am a few months old and definitly showing my personality. I have a big girl bark that scares all the local lizards and bugs. I love to chew buttons off anything and everything that has a button and I love to play a game with my dad at 4am called Chewy face..it's where hes sleeping and I jump on him and bite his nose. My mom thinks its really funny. I am very pushy and get my way. I still have not grown into my gorilla feet but my mom and dad love them. Duke and I have become very close we like to play a lot while Mr. Fred chases us and barks. My mom has taught me how to shake hands too so I can be polite!

 

I love to play with bowls too.. I like to throw them in the air and slide across the floor chasing them. I am  a funny girl and totally spoiled rotten!!

 

 Im Mozli my AKC registered name is: Pryncess Chubs T Mozli. Mozli is a rawhide chewing monster. She has to have 3 "chewies" before she will lay down. She's a tri-color little chubby, weighing in at 51 lbs. Very good singer and has an attitude to get what she wants. She's had 4 large litters of puppies with Harli and hates being pregnant so she's now retired. She just had her final litter on 9/4.

 Im Harli my AKC registered name is: Prynce Hurrikane Harli. Harli is the biggest of my hounds, weighing in at 62 lbs and is a beautiful brown (or red) and white. He's all muscle and a very big, gentle, baby. Loves his begging strips and will only play or wrestle with me. Very protective over his human momma. Has fathered several litters of puppies with Mozli.

 Im Doyzer im a AKC registered name is: Lord Dozyr Shakesalatte. Dozyr's a sweet, little guy that desperately wants people to love him. He's quite the goofy guy and loves to play tug of war. He's mostly black but has a little brown and white on him. Has a really deep bark and is kinda on the short side and weighs 42 lbs. Dazi is his mate. (You will see her soon)

 Im Chopper im a AKC registered name is: Lady Jazz E Choppyr. Choppyr's the sweetest, most timid of my hounds and she is Dazi's sister. She's a very, gentle brown and white (looks almost identical to Harli) and is the quietist little girl weighing in at 46 lbs. She can sing in a group but tends to hang back from the crowd. Loves to play with the other dogs. Whiski is her mate.
