The
following are the NCCC3 teams &
results.
The tough fish was
made tougher by the slow tides, changing weather conditions and
dropping water temperatures days prior to the event. In some places, the
tide movement from 9AM ~ past 1PM was practically non-existent!!
That plus the bluebird skies just a little more than a day after the
first cold front made for lockjaw fish.
Our team did well under these conditions, finishing in 6th place (out of 12 teams). The struggles in catching fish was evident as only one team of the 12 had full limits and they finished second. In fact, the team who won, the Fresno club, was 2 fish shy of full limits. In fact, there were FIVE boats in the tournament that did not weigh in ANY fish!!
