How to install Windows XP
This will teach you how to install Windows XP.

Things You'll Need:
Windows XP Installation Disc + Product Key
Atleast 20GB Hard Drive
Steps 1-7:
Step 1)
Insert your Windows XP Installation Disc, and boot from it.
Note: get your product key ready.
Step 2)
- After it has finished copying files
it will ask you to prepare Windows XP to run on your computer.
So just press enter.
- Then it show you the END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT.
So just press F8, to accept it.
- It will now show you the partitions on your computer.
So highlight the partition you want to install it on, and press enter.
- It will ask whether you would like to format the partition.
So highlight 'Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick)', and press enter.
Step 3)
After it formats the partition
it will copy the setup files, and then reboot.
Step 4)
Now Windows XP will start to install the Operating System, using a Graphics User Interface (GUI).
Note: Menu's will pop up asking you to...
- Change Regional and Language settings
- Enter your name and organization
- Enter your product key
- Enter a Computer Name & Create a password for the System Administrator
- Edit the date, time, and time zone settings
- Edit Networking Settings
So just follow the on-screen instructions, and you should have a succesful install.
Step 5)
It will now restart, and start to boot into XP.
You can now take out your disc.
Step 6)
It will pop up saying 'To improve the appearence of visual elements, Windows will automatically adjust your screen resolution'.
So just click ok.
Step 7)
The Welcome screen will load up first
Which will spend a few minutes setting up your computer.
It will do the following:
- Checks your Internet connectivity
- Ask you to register with Microsoft
- Create your user account
Now you will be able to log in!
