How to install Windows Vista. Ben Staker © 2008
Things You'll Need:
Windows Vista Installation Disc + Product Key
Atleast 30GB Hard Drive
Steps 1-:
Step 1)
Insert your Windows Vista Installation Disc, and boot from it.

Note: get your product key ready.
Step 2)

- It will now show you a list of options to choose from, So just click on 'Install now'.

- It will ask you 'Please read the license terms'. So just check the box 'I accept the license terms', and click 'Next'.

- Then it will ask you 'What type of installation do you want?'. So just click on 'Custom (Advanced)'.

It will ask you 'Where do you want to install Windows?'. So just select the partition that you want to install Vista onto, and click on 'Delete' and accept any warning messages. Then click on the partition again, and click on 'New'. It will now format the partition so we can install Windows vista onto it, so now just press 'Next'.

Note: Windows Vista may restart your computer a few times, this is normal!

It will now eventually restart for the last time, and go to boot up Windows Vista. You may think that something has gone wrong, but it hasn't!. So just leave it a while, and you will notice that there is a spinning thing on the mouse.

After a couple of seconds, it will ask you to 'Choose a user name and password'. So just type in a Username, and a Password, and choose a user account picture, Then click 'Next'.

Now it will ask you to 'Review your time and date settings'. So choose your time zone, change the date, change the time, then click 'Next'.

Now it will say 'Please wait while Windows checks your computers performance'. This will test your computer's hardware, and then give you a rating on what your computer can perform (you can look at what your system rating is by going into Control Panel --> System and Maintenance --> System, then click on 'Rating'). This may take a while to test your hardware, so be patient!
