Jewel's Little RugRATS is the name of my somewhat new rat family.  Rats are very intelligent and make great pets.  They are not nasty, as some people seem to believe.  In fact, rats clean themselves constantly and don't like to be dirty.  They are very social and even become depressed when living alone.   The second my rats hear me coming into the "Rat Room" they jump onto their cages and great me, wanting to play.  Some of them are more interested in playing with me than they are in eating their food.

Although I absolutely adore these animals, I can't keep them all.  I bought  two mothers and their one day old babies from a non reputable breeder.  The breeder was so foolish she didn't separate  the mothers before they gave birth, so both litters were born together.  Luckily, the mothers took turns with the babies and didn't fight over them.  I've given them the best care and attention I possibly could.  At four weeks old I separated the babies from their mothers.  I also put the babies in same sex cages, to prevent any unwanted pregnancies.   I am asking $5 per rat, and would prefer them to go in same sex pairs.  Born May 23rd, and are ready to go.  If you are interested, go to the Contact Me link.  If you would like to see the available ratties, go to Available, Available Girls or Available Boys.  Thank you.
