Welcome to the B.A.S.I.C./All Nations, Syracuse University, web-site. B.A.S.I.C. stands for Brothers and Sisters in Christ. BASIC began on the campus of Oswego State University of NY in 1978. BASIC came to Syracuse University shortly after that. BASIC is on about 30 campuses in the Northeastern United States. Because of an initial involvement of International students from campuses in Rochester, NY, BASIC added the name All Nations in 2000. BASIC at Syracuse University added the name All Nations in 2005, because the group had transitioned from an undergraduate American group to primarily a graduate International student group.

B.A.S.I.C./All Nations introduces International students to Christianity and American culture.
If students are interested, we desire to connect them with an American family so they can visit an American home and experience American culture first hand. We often have parties and special meals like our "Wing Thing", which is a hot chicken wing eating competition. It's just for fun.
New Faculty Advisor for B.A.S.I.C. at S.U. !
During the 2007-2008 academic year B.A.S.I.C./All Nations at Syracuse University received a new Faculty Advisor, Prof. Alex Thevaranjan from the Whitman School of Management. Prof. Thevaranjan has long been involved with International students on campus. During the Tsunami recovery in Sri Lanka, he was also instrumental in raising funds and rebuilding fifty homes. Professor Alex has an International family of students who live with him at 815 Comstock Ave. in Syracuse. He has called his home, "House of Daniels" for his ongoing effort to raise up International leaders. Prof. Alex is on the board of B.A.S.I.C. at Elim Fellowship in Lima, NY. He frequently speaks at our semi annual B.A.S.I.C. conferences held at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. These are our regional conferences.
