What is B.A.S.H?

What is BASH?
BASH stands for the Barry Allen Save Headquarters. We are a group of people dedicated to seeing more of Barry Allen in the DC universe.

Does everyone in BASH want Barry to return from the dead?
NO. In fact, that is a common mistake people assume when they hear of the group BASH. Members of BASH all have different degrees of wanting more Barry Allen stories. Some are content with Barry existing only in backflash or elseworlds stories, others have the extreme view of wanting Barry back in the Flash titled comic book full-time instead of Wally (I wouldn't want this personally). It widely varies with each and every member. In fact, the only requirement that someone must have to be a member is to not have the attitude of "Keep Barry Dead at all costs." That won't fly with any BASH member. If you really like the character, you should be at least open-minded to this option, even if you don't really like it. This is the BASH philosophy.

Who leads this band of rogues and criminals called BASH?
Despite our fancy looking titles, BASH is run by a small group of several individuals that vote on important matters and make direction decisions. This small group consists mainly of the original members that formed BASH back in July of 2003.

What hope does BASH have of ever getting more Barry Allen stories?
I feel that the existense of BASH only helps to further the Flash legecy. Even if we never get Barry back, our existence helps further the Flash and shows DC the dedication level of some of the Flash's fans. To some degree, DC has increased Barry stories over the last 9 months (DC: New Frontier, Another Nail, Liberty and Justice, Flash #200, JLA/Avengers, and perhaps more on the horizon...) and whether BASH can take any credit or not, our existence helps DC know that there is still a strong market for this character. We are the "unofficial" Barry Allen fan club.

Dan Didio said that Barry was never coming back because he is the cog that holds Crisis together? Why should you even bother trying?
It is BASH's job to show Dan DiDio the error of his ways. The character of Barry Allen is still a strong marketable and financially viable option for DC Comics. Dan may feel this way now, but a successful leader is always willing to look at more options.

Why doesn't BASH like Wally?
This is a false question. Every member of BASH likes Wally and all of the Flash characters. We are Flash fans first and Barry fans second.

Why should I join BASH if I'm not really a big Barry Allen fan? I grew up with Wally as the Flash and he seems fine.
Wally is a great Flash too. No one at BASH will argue that point. Just remember that someday YOUR favorite character might be pushing daisys up from the ground and it will be nice to know that you have friends around the country that will help support you as well. ALSO, BASH is having contests and prizes in August, so now is the time to get on board and quick!  Look for the contest details on the DC Flash Message Board and other BASH frequented boards. (Note: This contest will be for members only.)  With the anniversary of Crisis on Infinite Earths upon us, NOW is the time to write DC and tell them that it's time to return the greatest Flash of all to us, Barry Allen.
