I have a Thomas Barnard married Elizabeth Mercer 01may 1757 Saint Nicholas Brighton Sussex. My family have been in Sussex since.Do you know of any connections please. Regards E B.

I also have relatives married at St Nicholas in Brighton and I still have close links with the church. I will check with the family tree and see if I can find a link to that wedding

Great to find this site whilst surfing around. My Barnards were from the Burwash area of Sussex but very interseting to see the information and photos of other Barnards

I am a direct decendant of Col James Barnard, His history can be found in the Book Of Idaho. His father came from Sussex England and died in Junction City Kansas in 12/4/1886. Col James Barnard was married to Lucinda Smith, and had many children one was Frank James Barnard who was married to Mildred Heep and they had George Barnard, who had my mom. If this sounds like I may be a relitive I would appreciate any info you could give me. How was my grandfather a col. cival? I have lots of pictures. I do know they were auctioneers in Fruitland Id please email to [email protected]

I have a long line of Barnards in Sussex in my family tree, but sadly none of them are on this site. Do you know anything about a William Barnard who could have been married in 1709? Or any advice as to where I could find information?

What a work of art. Fabulous photos! I loved the ones at Dittons, which I've never seen. Very sharp photos of the gravestones.
