What is a hiding Tri and a Tri Carrier?

Look at the pictures above and below at Dana's cheeks and eye brows (ignore the cheerios in Dana's mouth, LOL!)

As you can tell Dana - BarLee Who Do You Love, is not a complete Tri colored/marked Springer. When I identified her to the AKC, I marked Dana as a Black and White. Some Breeders may call her a hiding Tri or a Tri carrier but I will not identify her as a Black Tan and White (Tri) Springer due to the lack of Tan coloring. Therefore, Dana is not a Tri colored/marked Springer, she is only a Black & White.

Buyers be aware!
Breeders that have their dogs color/markings as their selling point, does not have the breeds interest at heart. Yes, they may look cool or different but that is by no means the most importune thing about a dog! Breeders need address health and temperament and are able to back it with certificates or documentation, such as OFA and CERF

So remember the only Colors/Markings are,

Black and White
Black, Tan, and White
Liver and White
Liver, Tan, and White
White and Black (with or without Tan)
White and Liver (with or without Tan)
Blue Roan (with or without Tan)
Liver Roan (with or without Tan)

Anything other then these "colors" mentioned above are not the correct English Springer Spaniels colors. When You see English Springers advertised as their colors being Rare.

You have to wonder,
Are they a pure bred English Springer Spaniels and not the Welsh Springer Spaniel?
Are they just poor quality Springers that may have many health problems that are reflecting it within their   colors and markings?

Also, the American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), and Federation Cynologique International (FCI) ... Will never allow a breeder to state within the dog's registration papers, Colors or Markings that are not allowed. Therefore, any color other then the colors mentioned above are Not Registrable!

What that means is ... the breeder is falsely miss informing you. They trying to make you believe that you will be getting something rare, better, or new. Which this is not the case!

What to Do If Your Pet Is Lost

By Eukanunba.com

First, do not panic. Step through this checklist, and be persistent

  • Look all over your property, including new places where your dog might try to hide.
  • Search the neighborhood. Talk to all your neighbors, and leave a note with your name and phone number at houses where no one is home. Call your pet's name frequently.
  • Help your pet find his way home. Place his bedding or some of your dirty clothes outside your house as a homing scent.
  • Call local veterinarians, shelters and humane societies. Also, check with the Department of Transportation (DOT) in case your pet was injured on the road.
  • Post flyers in the area. Include your pet's photo, a detailed description and your phone number (but not your name or address).
  • Place a “lost dog” ad in your local newspaper's classifieds.

BarLee Springers also recommends

Ø       Call Animal Control, English Springer Spaniel Rescue(s), your local and surrounding towns & police

Ø       File a theft report with you police

Ø       If you take your dog on walks regularly, then follow the same path calling your dog's name.

Ø       Try to sound calm when calling your dog's name

Ø       If you had just moved to a new location, go back to your old location to look for your dog. Remember to post fliers there also

Ø       Offer a reward for the healthy safe return of your dog

Ø       Call to inform Barbara. If the dog has a microchip implanted, she will call the microchip service to inform them that your dog has become lost. Also, inform your dog's Vet that he or she has become lost.

Petfinder.com has a lost and found listing, check that often and list your dog as missing.

If you use an email for people to contact you back, set up a free email from yahoo.com. For example, helpmefindsam@yahoo.com, findmolly@yahoo.com, or jakecomehome@yahoo.com

Prevention is the best way to keep your dog safe. Never leave your dog outside unprotected. Check your dogs yard/fencing on a regular bases. Having an obedience-trained dog reduces your chances of your dog becoming lost.

While looking for your dog and you find him ...  never, never, hit, yell, or scold him! He will associate the scolding with coming back to you and not from leaving.

I know this will be very stressful for you and the family, but have faith that your dog will come home! - Barbara

Holistic Healing

Are you looking for Holistic Healing for your pet?

Holistic Healing is not as taboo of a word anymore. More and more people are using and looking for Holistic Healers.

Most of you know this but I must repeat it as a disclaimer. The information in this web site is presented for the educational and free exchange of ideas and speech in relation to health and wellness only. It is not intended to diagnose any physical or mental condition, or to prescribe any particular product(s). It is not intended as a substitute for the advice and treatment of a licensed professional. In the event that you use the information for your own health, or for your animals, you are prescribing for yourself or your animals, which is your constitutional right and for which the author of this site assumes no responsibility. The author of this website is neither a legal counselor nor a health practitioner, nor a veterinarian and makes no claims in this regard.

Now that is over with, I can now talk to you about my feelings on Holistic Pet Healers.

I believe Holistic Healing is useful and can be combined with conventual veterinarian methods. I feel that Holistic Healing should never be done without you or your pet going to a licensed professional before trying Holistic Healing methods, but there are many benefits to Holistic Healing.

Here are some Holistic Healing
  • Tellington Touch also known as T-Touch TTouch
  • External Forces: magnetic, color, sounds, etc.
  • Herbal, Nutritional Homeopathy
  • Aromatherapy
  • Flower Essences, Bach Flowers
  • Crystal Healing Therapy
  • Reiki
  • Shamanic Healing
  • Canine Massage
  • Canine Acupressure or Acupuncture
  • Vibrational Energy Healing such as Inu Ki'Chi
  • and more
Holistic Healing reduces stress and promotes healing. Reducing you or your pet stress levels helps in any healing process. That is why doctors tell some patients to go golfing. Veterinarians may recommend for you to take your dog to the nature preserve to enjoy the fresh air to lower stress levels in your dog.

Questions & Answers

Q. When should you decide to try Holistic Healing?
A. When ever you want to try Holistic Healing.

Q. Some people try Holistic Healing as a last resort. Is this wrong?
A. Never. If this is your last resort then you have nothing to lose anyway. If anything you can be at peace knowing you tried all there is to try.

Q. Can you try Holistic Healing earlier then waiting as a last resort?
A. Defiantly. But you must understand that this works along with conventual veterinarian methods.

Q. Do you or your pet have to be sick to try Holistic Healing?
A. No, but if you are not a Holistic Healer then you will have to pay someone else and the cost can add up.

Q. I noticed that some Holistic Healers know many different types/methods of healing while other Healers know only one. Does knowing more Holistic Healing make them better?
A. Knowing more methods of Holistic Healing does not make a Healer any better then the Healer that only knows one. It is a Healers choice if they want to learn more Holistic Healing methods.

Q. Can you become Holistic Healer?
A. Yes, You can be trained only by a certified Healer, Not Do-It-Your-Self books. The books are there to give Holistic Healers extra guidance and for the non-Holistic Healers some understanding. Please never do healings yourself if you are not Holistic Healer.

Q. Can Holistic Healing be dangerous?
A. No, most Holistic Healing can never be dangerous or used incorrectly.  But, I feel Herbal, Nutritional Homeopathy, and Flower Essences can possibly delay the healing process and prolong the existing problem if it is used incorrectly. Again please go to a certified Healer.

Q. Can a puppy have Holistic Healing?
A. Yes, but I don't recommend all types of Holistic Healing for a puppy. Plus, I would have to know what the problem is to recommend a method.

Q. What Holistic Healing do I  recommend?
A. I recommend Tellington TTouch, Shamanic Healing and Reiki (pronounced ray-key) for you and your pets to help with energy balancing. That is why I became a Usui Reiki Master/Level III on August 18, 2006. I am also a Master in Kundalini Reiki, Karuna Ki Reiki, Ki Manna Reiki, Tibetan Reiki, and Usui Tibetan Reiki, Ma Heo O Reiki, Shaman Power, Shamanic Energy Healing System, and Usui Teate Reiki.

Q. Have I used Holistic Healing?
A. Yes, I used Reiki on Fussy's puppies. When I had the puppies tails docked I used Reiki to claim and reduce stress to promote healing.

Q. Dear Barbara, I was wondering why you had a topic about holistic healing on your website. Was it because you had become a "reiki healer" and you wanted to advertise your services?
A. Hello all, This is a great question. I did not post Holistic Healing on my website because I am a Reiki Master. I posted this do to the overwhelming facts that pet owners are looking for these healing services. I want to help guide pet owners to finding qualified holistic healers. Also, I wanted to inform pet owners what services are available to them. Thank you for asking!
~
When trying to find a Holistic Healer please try to educate yourself before looking for a healer, find out what healing method(s) you would like to receive. Ask your friends who they would recommend. Some Veterinarians are now learning the benefits of Holistic Healing/Alternative Medicines and they themselves are become Holistic Healers with the combined use of conventual medicines. The web has a wealth of information on it, but remember that there are many scammers as there are great loving healers.

If you have any questions or comments about Holistic Healing you are welcomed to email me. I would love hear what you think.
Thank you!
Barbara

Reiki

Reiki Disclaimer - If you or your pet are in pain, have symptoms that are as yet undiagnosed, or are not sure of the severity of your ailment, I urge you to first seek medical attention. REIKI is a natural method of energy balancing. It can involve "the laying on of hands" although this is not required for Reiki to be effective. It is not meant as a substitute for medical, or psychological, diagnosis and treatment. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose conditions, nor do they perform medical treatment, prescribe substances, or interfere with the treatment of a licensed medical professional. Reiki practitioners should not compete with medical doctors and their treatments, Reiki is meant to compliment medical treatments. It is recommended you see a licensed physician or licensed health care professional for any physical or psychological ailment you or your pet may have.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing art that is used to promote an optimum state of health.

In Japanese, "Rei" is interpreted to mean spiritual consciousness. "Ki" refers to the life force energy that flows through all living things. Reiki thus means Spiritually Guided Universal Life Force Energy. This concept of healing energy is also referred to as Chi in Chinese, light, or the Christlight in Christianity, and prana in Hinduism.

Reiki energy is passed from the practitioner to the patient by placing the hands lightly on or above the body, allowing the healing energy to flow into areas of the body that are in need. Special attention is paid to the Chakras, or energy centers of the body. When the body’s energy is in balance the immune system becomes strengthened to fight diseases and return us to our natural state of wellness.

Reiki Heals More Than Just The Physical

Reiki can affect all levels of our being by touching the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Effects often include: Relaxation, stress and pain management, faster recovery from surgery, clearer thinking and a sense of well-being. It also heals patterns that lead to pain, sometimes without us knowing it or being able to put it into words. Regular Reiki treatments keep all the systems of the body functioning at a higher level.

If you are intested in Reiki you may email me. Thank you and Blessings! Barbara
