Adavoyle Junction : 4mm scale model railway in P4.
Airthrey Park :
The story of a conventional 00 home layout that has ventured over three countries and 2,000 miles only to end up as an exhibition standard DCC layout.
Anglia Railways : This is the layout for assisting in the training of drivers.
Ardson : Exhibition layout from the Preston & District Model Railway Society.
Arkley Old Town : A DCC layout inspired by Blackpool North in Lancashire in the BR blue days.
Arne Wharf :  One of my favourite layouts and one of the destinations from Barchester.

B.

Bankstone Broadway : Modern image in a fictional London suburb.
Bash Street :  Very nice mainly industrial model.
Beaumont : A ficticious two station exhibition layout.
Beeches TMD : A modern image layout with some very nice photographs.
Belle Vue : This is a P4 layout and there are some great pictures of excellent modelling.
Blackmill :  Portrays the privatised railway operations around the North-West of England in the last couple of years.
Blair Atholl : A layout of the Highland main Line in Scotland. Beautiful pictures.
Bleakhouse Road :   Another great site by Tim Maddocks. Same comments as above.

Brighton In The Attic : Loft layout with some nice photographs.
Brockley Green : A Southern electrics layout 18.2mm gauge E.M. 4mm scale.
Brushford TMD :
Plenty here to interest the modern image man.

Camelot Junction : A modern image DCC loft layout.
Canada Road : An EM gauge layout. Many pictures portraying a small exchange sidings on the fringes of a dockland area.
Causeway Junction : A DCC modern image layout.
Cement Quay : One of Chris Nevard's great layouts, super pictures.
Charlotte Road : Charlotte Road was originally built in the USA by Tony Sissons to 18:83 gauge specifications. In 2000 it was shipped to the UK and debuted at ExpoEM 2000.

Chessington Chalk Lane :  One for the Southern Railway enthusiasts.
Churchleigh Town : An end-to-end layout designed with portability in mind. Modern era.
Clay Lane : By Ian Wheelock. Modelled on the 1950's to the late 1960's. It's on the exhibition circuit.
Clutton :  Built to P4 standards. 18.83mm gauge 4mm scale.
Combwich :  Based on the final 10 years of steam.
Croftfell : A 00 gauge 4mm layout DCC operated.
Crown Street Goods Yard - BR : A 4mm scale model railway of Edge Hill, Liverpool, no longer open.
Cutlers Lane :  Imaginary location in an urban industrial modern imgage setting, post 2000.

D.
Dales Peak : A modern image DCC loft layout.
Doncaster :
Peter Mitchell's well detailed modern image layout set on the UK's east coast.
Doveford : Represents a small West Country branch terminus of the Great Western Railway during the mid 1930's.
Dugglethorpe
: Another loft based layout.
Dunmore & Fidlin :  An Irish layout in 4mm scale.
Dunwich & Old Sarum : A professionally made layout with helpful remarks on kit used.
Dyserth Road : A modern image exhibition layout. Stacks of pictures of great models if you are in to modern image. Nice to look at even if you are not.

E.
Eastwell Ironstone Company : EM gauge. Plenty of great modelling and scenery pictures.
EM Gauge Layouts : This link will take you to a page where you have a choice of 9 EM layouts to look at. Some very fine modelling in this 4mm finescale section.
Engine Wood :  Nice photographs and loads of information from Tim Maddocks. Good construction pictures too.
Easington Lane : A fictitious secondary railway route in the north east. EM gauge.

Farkham :
Built to fine scale 16.5mm gauge standards. A fictitious suburb of the Stoke-On-Trent conurbation.
Fylde North Gallery :
The layout is based in the 1990's / 2000's on the Fylde coast, somewhere between Fleetwood and Blackpool.

Glasgow South : A modern image layout.
Grange Town : Another modern image layout of the 1990's.
Grovenor Sidings : 4mm scale P4 layout representing BR London Midland Region.

H.
Hayling Island : 4mm scale layout in P4 finescale.
Hellingly Hospital : Built on a 4'6" by 1'6" board with fiddle yard. Well worth looking at for those short of space. FGits into a car boot.
Hinton Parva :  4mm 00 gauge. Some nice photographs.
Holland Park : A container park with lights and fully operating cranes.
Holmeworth :  EM gauge based on a medium sized town in the conurbation of West Yorkshire.
Hollybrook :  4mm 00 gauge modern image layout.

J.
Jane's Garden Railway : A 00 gauge garden railway with loads of very useful information and very nice pictures.

K.
Kilmarlock : David Palmer's 13' by 9' layout set in a fictitious area with a Scottish theme.

L.
Langton Green : A professionaly made layout with helpful remarks on kit used.
LLaffan : A fictional station on the Cambrian Coast line.
Little Bazeley :
A very neat little shunting puzzle.
Little Glenmore :  A Photobucket site of one of our Barchester Forum members. Great photographs and plenty of atmosphere.

Littleton :  A large club and exhibition layout.
Longcarse West :
A P4 layout of a fictional goods facility.

M.
Maiden Lane : An EM gauge layout. Modern Image.
Manor Lane TMD : A fictional, end to end digital sound equiped model railway based on prototype EWS operations in London and the south east from 1966 till the present day.
Melbridge Docks : Represents a ficticious part of a large dock complex.
Melrose End :  Another one from Rainhill MRC. Steam era, end-to-end station and goods.
Middle Earth : This layout has been designed around the geography of Middle Earth, the imaginary world of the Hobbit.
Moor Of Rannock : A 4mm exhibition layout.
Moore Street T.M.D
: A DCC controlled 00 gauge fictitious diesel depot.
Morfa Bank Sidings : An EM gauge layout with many pictures and some very fine modelling. Plenty of character too.
Morwenstow Riverside : A scenic example of Cornwall.
Mostyn : This is an 18.83mm P4 layout of the Barrowmore Model Railway Group.
Much Meddling : A fictitious Great Western finescale model railway built to 4mm/foot scale and 18.83mm gauge. Well worth looking round the whole site.

New Bryford : A modern image layout in north west England.
New Haden : An "EM" gauge end-to-end model reflecting mainly industrial practice.
New Street :
A P4 layout many years in the making.
Not Walsall :  Showing what can be done among the beams of a loft. Measuring 40' by 10' on two levels.
Norwood Park :  Modern image DCC controlled.
Norton Road : A portable, small space modern image layout

Oakleigh : A modern image based on a location somewhere in the south.

Oldshaw : Another EM gauge layout depicting a Western Region branch line in the 1970's.
Orwell St.Johns :
A modern image layout modelled in the early 1980's.
Oxton : A modern image DCC layout set in South Yorkshire. A fotopic site.

Pendon Museum : Some of the best modelling you will see anywhere.
Penhallick : A fictitious north cornwall line, great photographs.

Ramsbottom Station & Surrounding Areas : This is the Ramsbottom Model Railway club's layout.
Robert's Garden Railway : Another 00 gauge garden railway. No shortage of space in the great outdoors.
Round Tree Sidings : A representation of a part of the Tyne & Metro line at Coxlodge between 1982 and 1987.
Russel Bridge : Modern image retired exhibition layout of the present day Teeside area. A fotopic site.

Shedley : 4mm model railway whose time scale is the early to mid 1960's. Very helpful photographs of how things were done.
Sheep Pasture :  Photographs only from a member of the Scalefour Society.
Sheffield Park : Part of the Bluebell Railway. Layout being built in Canada.
Shelford-upon-Trent : A multi era loft layout.
Shenston : EM gauge freight operations in the early 1970's in the West Midlands.
Simon Reynold's Garden Railway : Yet another 00 gauge outdoor layout. Still under construction but plenty of photographs.
St. Anne's Depot :
A rail blue layout in seven and a half feet by two.
Southampton Maritime : Currently under construction but well worth looking at for the modern image modeller.
South Oak Road :
North London in the 1970's and early 80's.
Southern Electric : A 3rd rail layout running electrical multiple units.

Southlands Junction : A loft based largely modern image layout.
South Sheppey : An EM (18.2mm) 4mm scale layout representing the mid 80's.
Springhead Junction
: 4mm scale layout built in a garden shed.
Strathallan Junction: Modern image imaginary place somewhere in southern Scotland.
Stroley Central : A 4mm 00 gauge modern image layout.

T.
Taw Vale :  An unusual one this, a garden railway in 4mm scale 00 gauge. Just shows that it can be done, and done well too, judging from the photographs.
Tedford & Bearham : A mix of diesel and steam.
Triang/Hornby Collection : Try this site for a bit of nostagia.
Tyvale :  Modern image loft layout.

V.
Vilier Street : An innovative fuelling point and station layout, modern image EM gauge.
Virtual Model Railway Exhibition :  I have put this link on all the different scales pages because this site includes all of them. You could spend a lot of time on this site.
Valkova Road :  A new minimum space exhibition layout in 4mm scale. This model is built in a space of 7 feet by 2 feet and that includes the fiddle yard.

W.
Waltham : 
An exhibition layout based on the Thames Valley around 1964 - 68 depicting a freight only diesel branch line.
Warmington :
DRS depot.
Wellbridge : From the Crawley Model Railway Society.
Wells Green TMD : A diesel and electric era locomotive depot.
Westford : BR Western Region around 1962
Wibdenshaw :  Portrays the approaches to a large station within an urban landscape. EM gauge.
Widness Road :
This is a DCC fine scale 4mm exhibition layout set in the North-West in the mid 1980's.

Windward :
A modern image 00 gauge model railway set on the  east  coast of Scotland.

Wiveliscom Station Layout :
Lies on the former GWR Taunton - Barnstaple branch line. I have added the prototype station to the Prototype section for those interested.
Wurzel Junction :  A DCC operated layout somewhere on the northern section of the former Somerset & Dorset Railway.
