Barca-Milton have been established as an amateur football team for over a year now. We are in our second season in the Lothian & Edinburgh Amateur Football Association. We train weekly on at 19:00 until 21.00 on Thursday evenings. We play every Saturday afternoon, kick-off 2:00, at our home pitch in Arboretum. We also have a 5 aside team who play in the Sunday evening premier league at the Power League in Portobello.
Diane's Pool Hall on Morrison Street in Edinburgh are proud sponsors of Barca-Milton 97 AFC since August 2007.
Barca-Milton will face St Andrews AFC (Fife) in the Scottish Cup 2nd Round on 18th October 2008. This will be Barca-Milton's first Scottish Cup tie after having to hand the tie to California AFC last season due to a lack of eligible players being available due to a clash with a Scotland fixture. St Andrews will travel to Arboretum this weekend full of confidence having defeated a decent Newburgh Juveniles side 5-4 over a Home and Away adventure. The first game ending 2-2 .
Barca-Milton have written to the league as was requested to claim the 3 points from the Breck Hermitage non-game. In an unusual manner the league have awarded Barca a 0-0 Win. So its 3 points and no goal difference as this is not used to determine league positions in promotion/relegation scenarios.
Barca-Milton opperate an ongoing player recruitment process. If you would like a trial, please contact the club for more details.
