Hen House Poultry

Here at Hen House Poultry we are passionate about chickens and in particular - Bantams. We keep and breed Pekins mainly for pets. All are bred for vigour, hardiness and interesting colours. We also keep and breed Crested Cream Legbars and Black-Red Araucanas.

Throughout most of the year we hatch small batches of these breeds which are usually ready for sale at around 8-12 weeks old. We also sell hatching eggs and even day old chicks if the buyer is experienced in rearing them. So if you are looking for a few bantams for your garden, you know where to call.

Pekins origionate from China, but have been very popular in the uk for a long time now. They make excellent pets as they are tamed easily having a good nature, little space is needed for them and they offer the added bonus of laying lovely fresh eggs.

Crested Cream Legbars were developed as an auto-sexing (can be sexed at day old) breed which lays lovely blue eggs.

These birds have Leghorn, Barred Plymouth Rock and Araucana blood in their make-up.
