Bank Street Writers

The Bank Street Writers Site

Promoting creativity in Bolton and district

WHO ARE WE?

A group of writers who meet once a month in the centre of Bolton, Lancashire (UK) for readings, discussions, workshops and visits.
Our regular meeting place is the historic Bank Street Unitarian Chapel in Crown Street, just off Deansgate.

Members' interests include poetry, fiction, scriptwriting, factual writing - in fact, almost everything you can do with the written word! Our aim is to provide interesting activities for all writers from beginners to published authors.

Newcomers are always welcome at our informal meetings. There's no commitment to join - but if you do, you'll also receive our regular Newsletter and be able to have a say in how we develop our range of activities.

We run occasional COMPETITIONS for poetry and short stories.

We also publish a twice-yearly magazine, CURRENT ACCOUNTS.

LATEST NEWS:

See the Competition page for details of our current Poetry Competition (deadline: 31 Jan. 2010) and an entry form.
