Local people have been working ever since 1995 when Mrs. Patricia Curren (Pat) first saw Bank Hall, she was walking down a county track, near the village of Bretherton in Lancashire in Spring 1994, she caught a glimpse of the top of the tower (as that is all that could be seen from the road at the time) and decided to do something....
When Pat's daughter Diana saw the Hall she too fell in love with the place, so much so that she began to research it's history and current circumstances. After press release and public feedback, it was then suggested that an action group be formed to save Bank Hall.
The press release was put in the local paper asking for people who had an interest in the building to attend a meeting to discuss the future of Bank Hall and a project of restoring the building and the gardens. The project would be to raise the awareness of the building and to save it for future generations, to enjoy the architectural splender of Bank Hall.
So, from the publishing of the press release and the clock still ticking, the race to save Bank Hall began...
