Members of rabbit club's are required to offer rabbit kittens at 8 weeks of age and over. These "registered breeders" abide by their
club's code of ethics and offer sound healthy pure bred kits, with back up and support.
A six week old rabbit is not acceptable! Did you know, like a puppy or kitten, a rabbit requires time on it's mother to establish a healthy immune system?
Please do not support the non registered "bunny millers" by purchasing under age kits. If in doubt, contact your local rabbit association.

At Bangalow Bunnies we have been breeding rabbits since early 2005.
Our primary aim is to improve the type and temperament of the various breeds of bunnies that we keep.
Currently we have Mini Lops, Mini Cashmere Lops, Silver Foxes and Netherland Dwarf.
We are members of both the Rabbit Exhibitors and Breeders Society Inc. at Wyee (REBs) for which I am the Ring Registrar and Rabbit Fanciers Society of NSW Castle Hill (RFSNSW) .
I have two children, Noah who is 7 and Taylor who is 10. We all handle our baby bunnies from the day they are born to get them used to human contact so they make good pets.
To date we have had successes on the show table ranging from 1st in Class to Best of Breeds, Best Kitten in Show, Best Junior in Show and even Runner Up Best in Show. We are still striving for that illusive Best in Show.
We have finally reached this goal at RFSNSW on 31st August 2008 with a Silver Fox Bangalow Bunnies Balthasar - we were very excited - thanks to John Porritt, the judge for this award.
We have all learned alot about breeding and keeping bunnies over the last couple of years and as any breeder will tell you the learning never stops. We have made lots of new friends through this hobby and would recommend it to anyone who is considering a new interest.
