There are thousands of Tibetan people residing in Bangalore city. Most of them are college students, Call employee and doing sweater business.
You can hardly find any private colleges in Bangalore where there are no Tibetan students. Most of Tibetan students are pursuing their undergraduate in different field like Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Diploma in Nursing, Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Hotel Management etc. They are either staying in Tibetan Youth Hostel or staying in rented room which are near to their college. In some college, such as St.Joseph’s and christ college, there are more of Tibetan students.

Most of the MNC call centers have or had a Tibetan employee. These Tibetan call centre employee get a handsome salary of about 8k to 25k per month. Most of them have to work in swift wise, but pick-up and drop facility will be provided by the company.
There are about 50 families who are doing sweater business at Majestic and Shivajinagar at Bangalore.
Tibetan Youth hostel is a place where most of the student stays and also a place where we all Tibetan have gathering, function etc. Tibetan regional head office and Tibetan children village office are also there.
There is also an Institute of Small Trade Learning centre with Hostel at Neelamangla which is managed by Department of home, Dharamsala. It has strength of about 70 students, doing various vocational courses including Computer hardware, Organic Farming, Beautician Courses etc..
