31st December - Monroes - New Year Grave Party

This was a great night, Us, Funny Onion, Inubis (?), Innominnate , Satans Meat Machine and Dental Plan all played and all rocked in their own right. Thanks has to go out to George Hayton for organising the night as it was one of my favourite nights at Monroes for a while now. We went on third and we played the best we ever have live and probably best we have played together for a good few weeks. We were all fired up, so was the crowd, crowd was great. Fun night cant wait for next gig should be good. Some new pictures on thr website too. Enjoy

26th November supporting Adam Bomb

26th November

It all started at about 7 o clock down at monroes with us having to go soundcheck. Adam Bomb arrived late, made the supports carry their stuff in, then charged the bar 24 quid to let us use there tomb, kick and bass drum! Which was a fucking scandal. They were a bit stuck up in my opinion. We never got a soundcheck because Adam Bomb was late so we just started our set anyway. We played a muddled up set list which include some of our songs such as Nazi Council, Nuclear and Take Back The Streets. I was very ill that day due too a litre of Whiskey the night before so i was all fucked up and not in the mood for anything never mind a gig. Anyway it went well by our music standards and was an ok night with TCR performing and playing a good set. SMM doing some cool shit with a guitar and an apple pie! Adam Bomb were good, stuck up but good none the less. The night was not so rosey however because Alex was sticking up for Hazel who he was with and this ended up in him being practically assaulted by two bouncers and then getting kicked out which was bang out of order. We will be back there soon hopefully and the bouncers will gone! :)

Bye for now, Sam

12th November-Monroes

12th November - Monroes Bar

Glass Pilot, Funny Onion and Flamingo 50 also played at this gig which went superb. I thought that Civic last week was good, this was fucking rocking. Played good few songs and also played our newest cover Die Die My Darling, we played it and we had only played it together twice the same day so that was a risk but it payed off as our encore when people asked for one. Currently no gigs in the immediate future so we looking for some more which will turn up some hopefully.

Thanks to all that came.

5th November - Whitehaven Civic Hall - Westricity

Westricity

Cumbria Youth Music organised this gig which had a total of 16 young local bands performing. It was a large crowd and a good crowd at that with good pits for all the bands! We went on 10th and played out 7 song set, it went excellently (bar alex snapping a string, but that cant be helped). Buzz filmed the whole show so it is all on tape which is sweet. There is also a Westricity CD out called "Gunpowder Treason and Rock" which has 12 of the 16 bands on and includes TCR, Band Substance, Glass Pilot, Acidic Monkey Flesh (don't know if they changed there name or not?) and Splinter. Its a cool cd for sentimental reasons if nothing else. Overall was a awesome night. Close friends Glass Pilot also played a good set which was sweet. We are both playing on Saturday supporting Flamingo 50 so get your arse down there.

Thanks for all the support, Sam

10 September - One Big Saturday

Funny Onion, Band Substance, The Coroners Report, Acidic Monkey Flesh, Satans Meat Machine, Innominate and The Last In Line all played at the event on the music bus. It was a busy day overall with a lot of people there to see the bands. We got on second and played out set which went down ok apart from i fucked up the bass intro to "Pathetic" but i managed to recover before i got to the end of my intro which had me very nervous about the rest of the song because we hadnt practiced it as much as all the others! Apart from that it went Ok, we have played the songs better but can't be perfect all the time. I personally didnt like the feel of the music bus, for one the roof was too damm low and i kept banging my head and secondly the sound sort of drifted away as there were no walls to contain the sound which i like. Was a good day for getting gigs out of though and we lined up a few, nothing 100% yet but after a few phone calls they will be. More on the gigs page when we get to know about them ourselfs.

Thank you for all that showed up to support us and see you guys at the next show?!?!?

Peace, Sam

8th July-Hootenanny

Glass Pilot went on first and played 4 songs consisting of 2 covers and 2 originals and they sounded cool like, they also went on later on and played 2 more covers when they were all drunk and they got a little crew dancing away for that which was sweet.

We went on 3rd i believe and played "Take Back The Streets", "Satallites" and "Preety Vacant" and we had a little crowd dancing away which helped me a lot because i was nervous before hand. We seemed to go down well and have had some good feed back off people so i thank you all and i thank all of you who went there!

Peace

Sam
