Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the guild and RPG.
Is it nessecary to be part of the guild to register?
No! Not at all. You do not have to be a member of the guild to RolePlay on Banana Fritters. It was originally not part of the guild. The forums are no longer a part of the guild.
What era is this? What year is the Trio/Marauders in?
This RPG is currently in the Marauders Era with the Marauders are in their Sixth Year. In the past, the forums allowed four eras but it got complicated. It may change in the future.
How many characters are allowed per account?
Only one character is allowed per account and only one account is allowed per member. Although, priveleged members will be ganted permission to have more than one character and account.
Are we allowed to advertise our websites here?
Yes, you are. Even though you are allowed, you must post them in the appropriate places and only post once.
Are signatures and avatars allowed to portray different characters?
No, I am afraid not. You are only allowed to have your character/model claim on your signatures and avatars only. Along with the signature, links to Personal Character Items are required.
Does the character house need to be the same as the member's?
Not nessecarily. The house points will be given to the houses of the characters, not the members'.
Do characters age?
I am afraid not. Characters do not age. They do not graduate to the next year or become older after their birthdays. This prevents an unblanced amount of students and allows more characters to be played.
Where do forms have to be posted/sent? How?
Forms should always be posted in their appropriate places. Just go through the forums until you find the board that is named similarly with the form name or page name. It should be posted in that area. Forms, if needed, should be sent in a PM message. They should not be e-mailed unless a form is set up on the site and they should not be neomailed unless directed so.
If the characters in an RP want to move to a different place from the original, what do we do?
If the different place is a hallway near that area or a pathway to the place but still close to the original, then there is no need to make a new thread. If it is in a different room or area, just go to that area on the forums and make a new thread/topic. Then post a link to the new thread/topic on the old one and a link to the old one to the new one. In that way, they correspond and can be linked to each other which allows lurkers to know that those RolePlays are connected. If there are more threads for that RP because of their movement, keep the order of links in order. Please make sure it makes sense. Your character can't be in a Common Room at midnight while in the garden at midnight on the same night.
Why are there multiple 'Subin's in the forums?
So you found out there are mutliple accounts that are in the Subin group. It's just the same person. The Head Mistress/Founder/Owner/Subin has mutliple characters and accounts so she likes to spread the admin controls throughout her accounts.
Is slash (//) allowed?
Yes, slash is allowed. Some people do not approve of it, but it is allowed at Banana Fritters. Just remember to give a warning so that members will know it is.
What is the site rated?
The site is currently rated PG-13. However, you may go beyond that. Rated R is allowed but there must be a warning. If you feel like going on towards NC-17, please do not use it on our site. We would prefer if all members stayed in the PG-13 to R range.
Why is the application form so hard to complete?
It isn't. It's just very long. The form is just a list of the key points you should know of your character. I'm very sorry about how difficult it is to complete. The form may take a few hours to finish. Mine took about three days, but then again I was filling out four characters and doing it on and off for ten hours but only concentrating for like 3. -.-;; The form was more difficult than the recent one. But look at the bright side; once you finish the form you're probably going to be a great RolePlayer. And, I'm not extremely strict with the form as long as you did it correctly and have gotten the minimum amount of information. UPDATE (June 5, 2006);; The form as been changed. The same fields are required except there are less paragraphs to write.
Is this forum/site advanced? Or is it just literate?
You can consider the site advanced but it is only literate. Only literates are allowed. You do not need to be advanced to join and RolePlay. There are tons of new RolePlayers on the forums.
What is considered active?
Well, posting at least one post/message on the forums per week. Remember to sign-up as Away in the Inns if you are going to be inactive for a certain amount of time.
What is the difference between the Banana Fritters Plot, Offical Plot, Sub Plot and Character Plot?
Banana Fritters Plot is just a description of the background of the game, time period, and such. Offical Plot is a plot changed each term or month, depending on the activity of the forums, that portrays a general event such as a ball. Sub Plots are small plots made for small groups of RolePlayers such as a conflict or dance between two people. Character Plots, also known as Character Relationships, are just what is states. It's the relationship between other characters.
No one is joining my RP!
Just hang on for a while, someone is bound to join. If after two weeks, no one joins try tweaking the plot, your introduction or ask members in the OOC sections. Subin will probably join if no one else joins because I'm nice like that. ^.^
How do I contact the Head Mistress/Subin/Founder/Owner?

How do I edit my title to what I want?
You must have posted at least 100 messages to do so. Do not spam the forums though. Before you can edit your title, you will be given a default-ish one. It will state your Year, Position or Organization most likely. Do not remove this. You can add other words/phrases to it but do not remove the default-ish title.
How do I edit my signature? Avatar? Title?
Just click on My Controls near the link to your Inbox, Logged In information, etc. You can just click here. Then edit it the way you want using the links provided there.
What is the PM System? How do I use it?
A PM is known as a Personal Message or Private Message which works as a e-mail in the forums. Just go to your Control Panel (My Controls).
Will Banana Fritters always be related to the guild?
No. Banana Fritters was originally only a forum and it may turn back to one that is not guild-related.
Where do I put incomplete Profiles/Applications?
Nowhere on the forums. Please do not post incomplete profiles or applications on the forums, GMB or anywhere else. It should be saved onto your Hard Drive before you post it.
Am I allowed to edit my Personal Character Items (Profile, Diary/Journal, etc.)?
Yes, but try and keep it as a minimum. ONlY Positions and Organizations must be signed-up for. Name changing or house changing is not recommended.
How long is one day/week/month in the RPG?
One day is equivalant to one day in Real Life. It is the same with weeks, months, days, seasons and times.
I want to be a family member of this person. The character is already registered.
If it is a canon character, make sure the family lines are appropriate. Hermione Granger cannot have a long lost brother because it messes up the story line. However, you can play her parents, cousins, or even aunts/uncles. Before you do so, you need to get the permission from the RolePlayer.
If it is a made-up character--which will be rare--and you want to be a family member, you still need to get permission from the RolePlayer. They will either give you guidelines or let you make the character anyway you want.
Who is the 'Head Mistress'?
That is Subin. Yes, that's the owner's name. She is sometimes known as the Head Mistress but 'Subin' does not actually RolePlay. Her other characters do, however.
Is there a certain format for the Signature?
Yes, there is. Just copy the text in the textbox below. Then fill it out.
What do I do if I'm so completely confused my brain might explode?
Er. You could step away from the computer, rest and then try reading again? Or you could just let me explain one on one if you'd like.
Why is the font in all of these boxes white when the boxes are white? It's hard to tell if mistakes were made.
Because white rawrs. ^.^ Because I'm too lazy to change to css.
