As you may know, bamboo is a grass, not a wood. Bamboo matures in 3-4 years, and the shoots reach its full maturity and hardest surface in 5-6 years. It regenerates without need for replanting because its root system keeps producing new shoots. Bamboo benefits from its removal of shoots that are more than 3 years old.
