For those who were interested in attending Ballestone in 2007, sadly we have decided to cancel this event. It was not for a lack of sutlers or reenactors but because of the amount of time that is needed was not there and with my busy schedule and not being able to devote the time that was needed to care for all of your needs at the event. Thank you all who had supported this event since the 1st MD has taken it over.

The First Maryland Artillery would like to invite you to our annual event held at  the historic Stansbury House along the banks of the Back River in Essex, Maryland.
 This year featured battles will be the 145th Anniversary of 1862 Peninsula Operations in Virginia on Saturday and Sunday with a non spectator battle Saturday night. Registration is limited to 200 US and 150 CS to insure proper force ratios. Because of scenarios, no Dismounted Cavalry unless you can portray infantry. Artillery and Mounted Cavalry is by invitation only. Campaign and Garrison camping. Sutler fee is $25. Registration is $6 with check or money order made payable to the 1st Maryland Artillery. Pre-registration deadline is April 5th, 2007. After April 5th is $10. Walk-on is $10 but must prepared to do either US or CS as needed. Proceeds collected go to the continued preservation of Stansbury House/Ballestone Manor.

This event is held in conjunction with the Stansbury House/Ballestone Manor, Back River Neck Parks and Rec Council and the Baltimore County Department of Parks and Recreation.
 
Straw will not be sold at the event as a request from Ballestone. If you feel the need for it you must supply it yourself and are responsible for cleaning it up. prior to leaving.

Because of a previous issue with vehicles in camp. There will be no cars allowed in Camp till 2pm on Sunday. All vehicles must be out of camp by 7 am on Saturday. Anyone with an emergency issue must see someone from the event staff before attempting to bring a vehicle in camp. Any person wishing to leave the event not under a emergency situation must carry their stuff out by hand to the parking area. If for some reason you feel you can't follow this rule then please don't attend
