SID WADDELL OUTED BY BUGLE DARTS CORRESPONDENT ?

The Bugle Darts Correspondent recently attended The BDA Championships and noted the features and mannerisms of top darts commentator Sid Waddell (pictured). Into the third day of proceedings our correspondent realised where he had seen these features and mannerisms before.

His mind jumped to the Coach House Hotel, Ballater several years ago and the then owner and more recently to the owner of the Balgonie Country House Hotel, Old Line Road ,Ballater, a Mr John Finnie.

Sid, when confronted with this information completely denied any link to Mr Finnie or Ballater. The Bugle has its suspicions that they could be one and the same and would like to present you with our usual request, WE REPORT! YOU DECIDE!

Mr Finnie, now in well earned retirement, was unavailable for comment
and was thought to be cruising the Med on his private yacht when Wayne & Coleen Rooney and the Beckhams will be joining the Finnie Family during the next few days.

FOLLOW THAT!

To follow the magnificent success of the Eddy Esson Band and the unusual dance troupe (see next item below) appearing at the Victoria Hall is a difficult task to say the least. However, The Ballater Branch of The Scottish Women's Rural Institute feel that they have surpassed that event by some margin.

Due to the many influential links the SWRI have throughout the world they managed to present a huge musical concert at the Victoria Hall with a most unusual conductor, in fact, a World first! Take a look at the magnificent end product of which, the SWRI should be extremely proud. The Bugle's Arts Correspondent said "A moving night to remember indeed!"

Ernie McCintosh speaking on behalf of the Victoria and Albert Halls Committee said " We are so pleased that an unusual event such as this has been presented at the Victoria Hall and are so proud of the efforts of the SWRI."

All proceeds will be donated to the Music Education Fund.

Local Ballater Eco Scientist Solves Questions About Climate Change

CAN THIS BE TRUE?

The Bugle Restaurant Critic sincerely hopes that the 'take away' contents are organically grown and that the 'New Shanghai' can deal with large numbers when the Royal Court arrives later this year at Balmoral Castle.

2012 Olympic Logo

A talented Ballater artist and designer has after many months of hard work and dedication offered the logo shown below as a possible official logo for the 2012 Olympic Games.
The rural areas of Scotland and Scotland in general, will no doubt be really pleased to know that any regeneration effect and financial gain will find it's way back to them and change Scotland for the benefit of all!  It does appear that the Ballater artist had some sort of hidden message for Lord Coe within his design.
