CHENEEDIN E. SONORON
Class Valedictorian, Batch 2006
An excerpt of her Valedictory Address:
Distinguished Guest of Honor and Speaker, Hon. Gov. Bellaflor A. Castillo, our Director Mr. Bernardo M. Espinosa, our Principal Dr. Benjamin P. Galban and Mr. Francisco R. de Asis, guests, administrative staff, members of the faculty, parents, fellow graduates, ladies and gentlemen.
Four years ago, we started on the road of high school. For four years, we labored, sacrificing much and never grudging any effort, day and night unceasingly, in order to bring our hopes and dreams to their complete realization.
I am sure that our graduation is the end of the first lap of our race in the pursuit of learning. I hope that this makes another beginning of our greater efforts to attain higher degree of learning. I hope and pray that in this bigger task, in this more difficult struggle, we will be able to carry on until success will crown our labors born out of sweat. Fear not, falter not, forward to our goal until we reach the top for yonder is a room for everyone who has patience for labor, endurance for suffering, tenacity of purpose and sterling will of determination.
We must bear in mind that the combination that unlocks the door to the spacious, luxurious and beautiful room at the top are patience for struggle, persistence to labor and above all the faith in Him who gave us life and our daily bread. Let us not lose faith and devotion to Him. Let us not falter in our belief of His goodness, of His love, and of His charity.
Our national destiny calls for our services in the upliftment of the downfallen economy. The
If we yearn for success in the life of our republic, if we believe in our aspirations to assume an honorable position in the family of nations, dear friends, let us prepare ourselves fully to face the difficult problems of our country and people. We cannot build a nation out of experience and knowledge applied freely, honestly and unselfishly.
Our nation is in due need for intelligent, honest, experienced and trained leadership. Let us heed her call. Let us not disappoint her in the hour of her need. We, the youth, the hope of our nation must not falter. We must carry on our tasks, obligations, and responsibility effectively and efficiently.
I thank you.
