I have sad news to report.

I found Moe kinsman's Daughter via Friends Reunited but she tells me that Her Dad sadly passed away at the age of 52 in1995. He had been working in Saudi prior to his death. He was a good mate of mine and I feel Sad that I never had chance to see him again. RIP mate. His wife Mary is alive and well and living in Rochester. He has a Daughter named Marina and a son named Robert who both live in London.

I have had a few pics from John (Nobby) Clark and included is one of himself present day and I have included it here. Further pictures on the picture pages.

I have just made a little compilation of photos and added a bit of music to make a VCD that can be played back on an ordinary DVD player. With a bit of trial and error its looking quite presentable.  I  intend to add it to a little booklet with two of the lapel badges to be given out at the next Gathering at Chatham. any one who thinks they will not be able to attend should email me and I will forward all of the above to them if they would like the goodies.

For those of you that visit these pages regularly it probably seems that it is just the same old thing being shown. Well you are right of course but I have to leave the best bits  for the people who we have not contacted yet that may have only just found the site. Also I have to hunt round for stuff that is of interest. I am looking for anything of interest to add so new photos and little stories from people would help. Maybe after the Gathering next year we will get enough stories to fill the site twice over.

The next get together    is scheduled for 28th Feb 08. If you would like to meet up with us all keep an eye on these pages for further updates.

  Lapel Badges.

I have now got some pin/lapel badges to my own design and hope to give them out at the next get together. The designs are shown here. I don't know if they are to everyone's taste but I like them.

Still looking for  new photos and  and news of any of the lads. Although I get a few hits on the site very few people bother to leave their details. I have had a few people leave a message on the "Say Hi" page but they don't contact me by email. So if any one is expecting a reply you need to click on the email button on the home page and send me a few words.

Loved hearing from 51 Sqn members who served after 1973. The only reason I have put 1965-1973 is because these are the years I can relate to. We will however have lots of mates in common with each other and in some cases we may even have served in other Sqns together so keep in touch.

Chris Milne

Just got some pics from Chris Milne and they are now on the second page of  photos. He also sent me an up to date photo of himself and that is reproduced here. He's looking good.

John (Charlie) Collins

I went up to see John in Gateshead and although in the end we only had about an hour together it was really good to see him again. I must say that he looks good and age has certainly been kinder to him than it has to me. Picture below.

I have now got contact with Colin Brandrick who I am sure that many of you will remember. Colin lives near Tidworth and he is retired. Below is a picture of Colin as it appeared on Face book

Aker Atkinson

It is with some sadness that I have to tell you that Ian (Aker) Atkinson passed away 12th February 07.  His brother was kind enough to let me know after reading this Web Site. I am sure he will be missed by his family and many people that knew him. I don't think I ever heard any one say a bad word about him and I always found him to be one of life's gentlemen. RIP mate.
