Based on verified reports of crescent sightings in the parameters of North America, the Caribbean and South America (specifically in Guyana and Surinam) on the eve of Saturday 19 September 2009 (29 Ramadan), the Hilal Committee of Toronto has declared the 1st of Shawwal 1430 to be on Sunday 20 September 2009.

Eid ul Fitr day will be on Sunday 20 September 2009.

The Hilal Committee with it's membership of more than 80 organizations wishes one and all a blessed and joyful Eid ul Fitr.

Alhamdulillah Baitul Mukarram Islamic Society has been in operation for over 7 years now and all praise is due To Allah for having accomplished the followings :

Major Activities

The Mosque is open for five times Daily Salaah.

The first Jummah at 1:40PM

The second Jummah at 3.00PM

Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan are conducted by four Huffaz.

Dawah activities are on an ongoing basis.

Quran Classes are held for kids Monday-Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Summar School 1st. July to 31.August. Monday to Thursday from 11.30 AM to 1.30 PM

Taleem of Hadiths daily after Maghrib

All these have been possible through your community help and support. Carpet from Saidu Arab is being ordered and InsaAllah in Ramadan we can have Iftar party every day. Alhamdulillah,

We have hired two Maulana: MAULANA WAJID AND MAULANA YUSUF.

We have renovated a complete worship area for sisters.

We have renovated the basement to a prayer hall for brothers.

We have replaced the heating and cooling system.

We have registered BMIS as a charitable organization with the Federal Government of Canada.

We are in a process of renovating and expanding the house of Allah. New carpet has been bought from Saudi Arabia. Please come and visit the house of Allah.
