There has always been a jack russell about the place in our family.  Jack Russells are one type of dog nearly everyone in Ireland knows and many have had as the family pet.

Not having a Jack Russell about the place is like not having milk in the fridge, unthinkable!!!!!!

Jack Russells really do have enormous personality in small bodies.  They are fun, adventurous, inquisitive, loving, attentive, devoted, active and friendly. 

Smooth haired Jacks are easy to keep looking shining and fit, but can shed tremendous amounts of hair at times for their little skins.

Jacks can be energetic playful family pets and devoted loving friends to older folks.

Jacks can be destructive when bored or anxious, noisy when unsettled, and dominant aggressive when not sure of who the pack leader is.

Jacks need lots of activity and company and pine in solitary kennels, doing best in paired or safe group kenneling or in the home.

Gardens need to be securely fenced, they can wriggle through small gaps, they can dig too!

Jacks are entertaining and intelligent, can learn new things their whole life through.

Early socialisation is very important, get as much done as possible before 18 weeks to have a confident, friendly, well adjusted pet.

Jacks are easy to housetrain, intelligent, people focused, easily trained and groomed.

Jacks crave human attention, and will easily learn tricks, household routines and the needs of their owners for affection and the reward of a job well done.

Jacks love people and want to know how to please them.  Jacks love fun and enjoy the company of equally live wired energetic children who will play with them and entertain them.

Tiny tiny jacks 8" and under know they are lapdogs and relish the role... love all the human company they can get and are intensely focused on pleasing their humans.

Jacks are clean.intelligent,engaging and fun.  Love going anywhere and everywhere with you.
