Like the Running of Water
Written by Bailey Elizabeth Bryans
Like the running of water,
Their hoofbeats all play,
The rhythm of time,
From day to day.
Each rushing wind,
Writhes mane and tail,
As they run faster and farther,
Slight breeze of fierce gale.
Faithful mares run behind,
I watch as they run,
The stallion who leads them,
Grace pure as the sun.
Like the rolling of thunder,
The herd makes a beat,
Conquering their lands,
And tackling each feat.
When you look to the West,
There will always be,
Like the running of water,
Horses wild and free.

(I finally found this poem after searching for it for almost over a year...lol.)
Swept
Written by Bailey Elizabeth Bryans
Some days, when it’s cold
I feel like rain,
Pouring down a car window,
It drives me insane.
My actions speak shy,
Innocent & Quiet,
But my mind can’t keep calm,
It’s always a riot.
Everyone around me,
Seems content with who they are,
But I can’t help feeling swept,
like rain on a car.
Being swept by the enemies,
teachers & friends,
I can’t hold on forever,
The rain never ends.
A storm, my life is feeling,
bitter & cold,
Don’t care what you look like,
Is what I am told.
But I can’t shake the feeling,
Of being swept,
Away from the ordinary,
Many times I wept.
Little hope shines,
Through the clouds of gray,
I can’t find myself,
What else can I say?
I’ve lost my path,
I’ve been swept by the rain,
Slicing through the air,
Like a speeding train.
I’m being swept,
I can feel the firm pull,
Of the current against me,
My confidence not full.
Swept, is the feeling,
The feeling I’ve sought,
I’m lost & confused,
I’m lost in just thought.
