Once frequented by the most famous poet from the Forest of Dean, FW Harvey, The Bailey Inn stands in a prominent position, at the top of Yorkley village, enjoying a magnificent view over the Forest of Dean, allowing, on a clear day, fantastic views of the Welsh mountains.
Recently purchased by current owners, Gary & Val Brown, it boasts a unique Organic, Free-range and local produce menu which changes with the seasons. Both Gary and Val are fervent believers that good, healthy food corresponds to a good healthy life and provide traditional, as well as their own brand of unique dishes.
There is a range of speciality pizzas on offer during all opening hours,
using organic pizza bases from the Authentic Bread company topped with their own home made unique organic tomato sauce and lots of fresh, toppings. Pizzas can be eaten in, or ordered to take away.
The pub has disabled access and welcomes families and is dog friendly. There is a large games/function room with two pools tables and a skittles alley, which can be hired out privately for parties, receptions, etc.
