A Guild of Former Scouts & Guides - past Leaders & Members of both Movements
HOW...WHAT...WHEN?...
Are you ?x? years old and been repatriated from Scouting or Guiding? ... but would like to stay in the company of like-minded people? ... and perhaps help out here and there?
What is the B-P Guild ...You ask?
It has been said that older Members or past Leaders never fade-away ...They join or form new Sub-Branches of the B-P Guild. WHY?.........
* To keep alive the Spirit of the Scout and Guide Promise and law.
* To carry that spirit into their community.
* To support scouting & guiding in their community.
* To continue the FUN & FELLOWSHIP gained from Scouting & Guiding.
* To give as much ( or as little ) time as they can spare, to raise funds or help-out physically.
* To maintain close links with both Associations.
The B-P Guild of Old Scouts was inaugurated in 1948 & in 1955, changed it's name to the B-P Scout Guild.
In 1950, it separated from the Association in Great Britain & became autonomous. In 1953 the International Fellowship of Former Scouts & Guides was formed ( IFOFSAG )
Later it was changed to todays title of International Scout & Guide Fellowship ( ISGF ) with Headquarters in Brussels.
Guild activities bring members together to enjoy each others company and reflect a multitude of differing interests, ranging from Guild Camps, day-walks, Progressive Dinners, Tennis days, Theatre nights, Car-rallies ... to Wine & Pate` tastings.
All these things are often used for FUND-RAISING, as well as for FELLOWSHIP.
