Socializing Your Dog. When it comes to socializing, we feel that every owner/breeder should socialize his/her dog or pup.
In our experience, when a pup is socialized to adulthood, they can become much easier to handle.
In many cases the true benefits of socializing can be measure after only a few sessions.
Training your dog can also lead to a more successful socialization attempt.
Teaching your dog a few basic commands(sit, stay, come ) etc, can be the key to easier handling in general.
Some of the benefits of socializing includes, less agression and more confidence.
"The photo below illustrates some of my dogs that have been socialized from pups to adulthood. With time, this can be achieved by most owners. Despite the fact that the media protrays the American Pit Bull Terrier as unruly and not easily trained, owners everywhere are proving this claim to be untrue.

Studies have shown that dogs that are not socialized are more likely to bite or display agressive behavior.
Many kennels have too many dogs to effectively socialize each dog.
This has become a huge problem in the American Pit Bull Terrier community.
It is not acceptible to have dogs locked away for weeks, months, years without showing their pets what life could really be, while at the same time making things easier for you.
We feel that if your kennel is too large to facilitate sufficient socialization for each dog, you should decrease the number of dogs that you are keeping or hire help. Many inhouse kennel fights are mainly due to ther fact that those particular animals were never introduced to each other.
