BACK TO HELL: FUN STUFF

GOOFS

     ° Anachronisms: -The Walkie Talkies used in the film are
                                            very post-war walkie talkies from the
                                           1970 's.

           ° Continuity: - Hairstyles not common for the 1940's.

           ° Anachronisms: - PFC John Faggot carries the US M4
                                            carbine, adopted by the US Army in '94.
                                         - Sgt. Monteaux carries the UZI SMG,
                                            a weapon developped in the 1980's.

           ° Visual error: - During the attack on Von Pratt's HQ there
                                        is a close up of Whittman's Thompson.
                                        Then it is very clear that it is a wooden prop.

           ° Error in weather: - The Battle of the Bulge actually took
                                                 in the Ardennes sector of Belgium
                                                during one of the fiercest winters ever
                                                 known in Belgium. But due to global
                                                 warming and a very long story it was
                                                virtually inpossible to film every scene
                                                 in snowy conditions.
                                                 So, only some key scenes were shot
                                                 during the 2 day period when there was
                                                 actually snow in Boom, Belgium in 2004.

            ° Revealing mistake: When the camera pans towards the
                                                 window of Von Pratt's burning HQ,
                                                 You can see a jar of redbeetjuice
                                                 standing on the doorstep.

            ° Audio/ Visual Unsync.: - When Von Pratt has captured
                                                          PFC John Faggot the audio is
                                                          unsynchronised with the image.

            ° Anachronisms: - When the American assault on the
                                             town of Manderfeld gets underway,
                                             a tankbattle begins.
                                             Tanks posing as US armor are actually
                                             German Leopardtanks made in the 1960's.

° Continuity: - During the final battle scene, bodies disappear
when the camera changes position.

            ° Factual Error: - During the final sequence at the ridge,
                                           Sgt. Monteaux fires away a couple of
                                           100 rounds of ammo without ever reloading
                                           his weapon.

            ° Continuity: - When Monteaux and Whittman arrive at the
                                       ridge it becomes clear that Monteaux's
                                       has suddenly changed shape. In all previous
                                       scenes Monteaux carries the UZI SMG.

            ° Revealing Mistake: - When Monteaux pulls of his jump
                                                    harnas after been parachuted,
                                                    it is clear he is not wearing a harnas
                                                    at all. Also his equipment is missing.

            ° Continuity: - In some scenes PFC Faggot wears a blue
                                      T-shirt underneath his Field Jacket.
                                      This only to (dis)appear in the next scene.

° Anachronisms: - Digital watch visable on the wrist of
Sgt. Whittman in some scenes.

° Equipment visable: - In the morgue, the Halogen lamp is
visable used to light up the dark attic.

            ° Equipment visable: - The bag used to carry the camera is
                                                    visable in the scene when Whittman
                                                    gets Burnham's message that the
                                                    mission is cancelled.

            ° Revealing mistake: - When Whittman stands up to go
                                                    to Major Burnham, the barrel of
                                                    his Thompson SMG prop falls out.

° Anachronisms: - Red phone with keypad in Burnham's
office.

            ° Deliberate errors: - A broken car radio lies on Burnham's
                                                  office pretending to be an army radio.

            ° Factual errors: - Burnham recieves Whittman's radio
                                             message on his red telephone.

° Anachronisms: - PFC Faggot wears sportshoes
(visable in run scene and HQ scene)

            ° Revealing Mistake: - According to Major Burnham's visor
                                                    cap, he is a member of the Belgian
                                                    Medical Corps.

° Anachronisms: - Black army boots were not adopted by the
US army until the late 1950's.
