Solar Civil War Information

Vehicles

Advancements in Hover thrust, Warp and Laser technologies have led to a new age of vehicular combat in the

Solar Civil War. In this in-depth look at the vehicles of the solar system, you'll get a look at the common units and units used

exclusively by specific factions. Each list will contain vehicle types, a description, armament, crew capacity, Shielding and if they

are Warp-capable. (Warp Drives can ONLY be mounted on ships.)

Note: Shielding is ranked 1-5 on how powerful the shielding is. Shielding prevents projectiles and objects from inflicting damage to a

vehicle, but the rank is what determines what passes through and what stays out. Shielding at rank 5 prevents anything from passing

through but the weaponry on the vehicle.

Light Vehicles

Motorcycles

Description: Since the mid 20th century, Motorcycles have served as an excellent recon/fast attack vehicle. The latest models of Motorbikes

have been fitted with a plasma electric 3000 watt motor, Titansteel wheels and a 2-seater sidecar. Motorcycles can be customized to have

two sidecars or none.

Weaponry: 1-2 Light Repeating Plasma Blasters. One Repeater per sidecar.

Crew: 1 Driver, 2-4 Passengers.

Shielding: None.

ATVs

Description: The All-Terrain Vehicle is the most common Light Vehicle in all factions, as it is cheap, well armored, can be used as a

small transport and has the weaponry to attack air and land units.

Weaponry: 1 Medium Laser Turret, 1 Side-mounted Rocket Launcher.

Crew: 1 Driver, 3 Passengers, 2 Gunners.

Shielding: Level 1

APCs

Description: Large-scale wars have many soldiers, all of which need to get to different locations in a battle. The Armored Personnel

Carrier is always the best vehicle for transporting large numbers of soldiers over large distances. Armed and armored, the APC can

also serve as a weak attack vehicle, should the need arise.

Weaponry: 1 Light Laser Turret.

Crew: 1 Driver, 20 Passengers, 1 Gunner.

Shielding: Level 2

Light Assault Vehicle

Description: Despite the medium guns and thick armor, the LAV is still considered a Light class of vehicle, due to the size and Crew size.

The LAV is usually used by squads in the battlefield or VIPs to get across a warzone in relative safety.

Weaponry: 2 Medium Repeaters.

Crew: 2 Drivers, 4 Passengers, 2 Gunners.

Shielding: Level 2

Heavy Vehicles

Light Tank

Description:

Weaponry: Short Range shell launcher, Laser Repeater, Light Laser Turret.

Crew: 1 Driver, 2 Gunners.

Shielding: Level 2

Air/Space Vehicles

Fighter

Description: Fighters are the basic parts of any good airforce. The average Fighter is capable of a wide range of support missions.

They are deplyed for air support, air superiority, bomber escort, ship escort, anything that needs to be defended will be protected by

Fighters.

Weaponry: 2-4 Medium Repeating Laser Cannons, 1 Plasma Torpedo Launcher.

Crew: 1 Pilot, 1-2 Gunners.

Shielding: Level 2

Interceptor

Description: Interceptors are small, weak and cannot stand more than a few seconds against heavy firepower, but they are not

meant for fighting Battleships. Their small size makes them incredibly fast and nimble, making the perfect counter to Fighters and

Light Bombers.

Weaponry: 2 Rapid-Fire Laser Cannons, 2 Anti-Fighter Rocket Tubes.

Crew: 1 Pilot.

Shielding: Level 1

Light Bomber

Description:

Weaponry: 2 Medium Laser Cannons, 1 Point-Defense Laser Turret, 2 Bomb Racks.

Crew: 1 Pilot, 1 Gunner.

Shielding: Level 2

Heavy Bomber

Description:

Weaponry: 1 Heavy Laser Cannon, 2 PD Repeating Turrets, 4 Plasma Bomb Racks.

Crew: 2 Pilots, 2 Gunners.

Shielding: Level 3

Drones

Description: Drones are the robotic versions of Fighters, only smaller, harder to hit, far more accurate and unmanned.

Essentially small weapons platforms, Drones are armed very heavily, have many sensors for combat and atmospheric

conditions, and are perfect killing machines in nearly all regards. The reasons that they don't simply replace all soldiers

in combat are they are too complex, too expensive and extremely controversial to be mass produced. Drones do not

require a Human to control them in any way, they are completely self-controled, and many worry they may become

self-aware.

Weaponry: 4 Heavy Laser Cannons, 2 Point-Defense Laser Turrets, 1 Plasma Missle Launcher.

Crew: None.

Shielding: Level 3
