Warp Drive
Warp Drive is arguably the most important discovery in recorded history, first discovered in 2045 and put to the test 3 years
later. When activated, a Warp Drive can propel anything big enough to hold the drive to speeds far over 100 Miles Per Second.
The downside to the Drive is that it is very large, and only ships surpassing Destroyer class can hold one. Another problem with
Warp Drive is with the laws of physics. The only way to keep ship interiors from turning red is through the Warp Drive Security
subsystems. This syncs the computers of the ship between the Warp Drive and the artificial gravity so that ship crews won't
go flying into a wall as soon as Warp Drive engages. WDS is extremely prone to malfunction, and is usually an easy target in
space combat. Despite this flaw in Warp technology, there is no other alternative to space travel.
