Solar Civil War Information

Locations and History

After over 150 years, you'd have to expect humanity to expand a bit. Moons, planets, and space around the solar system have

all been colonized. Below you'll find all of the colonies, stations and even open-air cities on Mars that have been constructed in

SCW, and how many of these places came to be.

Planetary Cities: Mars

Marck City, Capital of Mars:

Founded in 2056, twenty years after Mankind first set foot on the surface of Mars. (Is saying that legit?) The Landing site was

preserved as a memorial after the first civil buildings were constructed and colonists arrived. In 2093, research in the city

peaked as the development of atmospheric shielding gave the city the ability to breathe in the open air. Once the atmosphere

shielding was in place, people were able to go outside without suits. An unexpected change occurred, as plants began to grow

where the shield was intact, leading scientists to immediately begin terraforming research. By now, warp technology was very

common, and a city-wide petition was made to have warp drives attached to ice comets and propel them to the planet. Now

Mars is a completely habitable world with only a handful of cities constructed, and many small villages.

Martians Tomb Dig-site:

After Mars was terraformed to produce water and air, rain and wind had washed out a lot of sand from many areas on the

surface, revealing an extensive cavern complex underneath and inside Olympus Mons. Explorers searched inside the volcano

to find hundreds of tombs filled with the ancient bodies of Martians. With these bodies were machines that looked to be

extremely advanced. These machines were immediately recovered and sent to Marck City for research. These tombs are now

being analyzed by thousands of researchers and archaeologists, digging out and exploring the ruins. The tombs are considered

to be a large village due to living quarters built into explored areas, with people residing in these areas. Thanks to the war, this

is the fastest growing area on Mars, as the mountain serves as an excellent bunker as well. Many protesters say the tombs

should not be disturbed in such a way.

Planetary Cities: Pluto

Zhuzom Village:

Zhuzom Village was the first human settlement created in the colonization effort on Pluto. The village first started as a few small

buildings and a mine dug out at the center. Approximately 45 colonists died due to the intense freezing temperatures outlasting

their protective suits before Thermal Heaters could be delivered to the village. As time passed, the mine began to yield some

profit, allowing for more buildings and a deeper mine to be built. As the mine went deeper, more rare materials were found until

the colonists discovered the Iluma Crystal, an extremely valuable crystal that could focus beams of light, making them almost three

times as radiant. Multiple tests were run on these crystals and it was found that they could be used to triple the strength of

beam weaponry. Once this was realized, a massive colonization effort was made in an attempt to harvest these crystals.

Kradden Fortress:

Kradden Fortess is the largest planet-side military base in the solar system. It boasts a 30 story defensive wall with 160 defensive

sentry guns that defends a city-sized base. The base includes 24 AAA Cannons, 4 automated Factories, 12 Hangers, 40 Barracks

to house and train soldiers, normal civilian housing in-case of emergency and a 100 story command structure at the center of

the fortress. The Command Tower has a large landing pad on the top.

Space Stations

Beta Station:

With the development of Warp Drive technology, space travel quickly became top priority for development. The first space

development program was the Interplanetary Relay Program, which produced Alpha Station and Beta Station. Both stations

were Relay Points between Earth and Mars, used to regulate traffic between both planets. Alpha Station was a hub for

trading and commerce between the two worlds, while Beta was focused more on military production and the exchange of

materials. In 2147, two years before the war started, a Martian relic was brought onto Alpha Station by a Silgan military officer

in an exchange between the Silgan Government and EUCN to calm mounting pressures between the two factions. Neither

group was entirely aware of what this relic was. When the EUCN official attempted to taunt the Silgan during the trade, they

ended up activating the relic, which then created a small singularity inside the Station. It quickly began crushing vital systems,

leading to an explosion that destroyed the relic as well as the station. Relations between these factions were crushed and

the boarder closed between Earth and Mars. Beta Station still exists, however, and since the death of Alpha Station, it has

had many upgrades. It is the largest and oldest station in EUCN space, holding at 25 kilometers in diameter with well over

40,000 Point Defense Turrets. It also has a built-in shipyard, space and supplies for 30,000 soldiers and 40 resupply areas

for ships in dock.
