Welcome 2 my story - Coping with Baby Eczema

My name is Brooke, I'm a 25 year old single mother who resides in Australia and have all my life. I had my daughter in Nov 2001 and have been a stay at home mother ever since. I believe in putting my time and effort into my daughter as much as possible. Birth - 5yrs age are the most impressionable years of a child's life to instill your support, knowledge, time & values into your child.

These years are a child's most important as their brain is equivallent to a sea sponge, absorbing NEW! information everyday. Parenting is all about the individual choice as we all have different aspects on life.

I decided to create this site - for the simple reasons of wanting to help others.

With details on Eczema treatment as well as some Eczema pictures to help people diagnose the problem.

I hope this site is useful for people who suffer from

My wish is to provide more information to Eczema sufferers and parents such as myself, that would like the choice to come to a place where someone is an everyday person that can share their knowledge and sympathize with others.

This has been created for the purpose of helping others, as I know from first hand experience just how hard it is to do it on your own and become overwhelmed with finding the right sites to suit your purpose.

I'm saying all this and doing this because?

I found my daughter was to be diagnosed with severe Eczema at just two months of age. Before her diagnosis I began to see a rash in every joint possible on her little body.

After seeing a lot of these imperfections of the skin, I made an appointment with the local medical centre. As soon as our doctor looked at these skin irritations it was made very clear that she had chronic Eczema, also known as Atopic Dermatitis.

I'm sure a lot of people can understand, things were to become expensive, stressful, and in general, difficult in our every day living.

I would also have feelings of not wanting to go out in public!

This was terrible because on many occasions I was harassed by people asking me "WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CHILD? People walking past and going "OH MY! That child isn�t being looked after and looks like she is being neglected by such a YOUNG mother. Infact!!!, what they didn�t know is I was doing all I possibly could for her. When you are purchasing ointments, lotions, bath crystals, quarterzone creams, moisturises, different dairy products, and to top it all off as my daughter got older I tried elite diets that cost the earth. I found doctors, specialists and homeopathic consultants started to make me think they weren�t any help and were just counting on the next consultation to bring in $$$$ for them.

Since then my daughter is now five and has learned how to live with her Eczema. I will note that her Eczema isn�t as severe as it once was but it is still a problem.

I am always looking for new and improved ways to cure, ease Eczema. I will do my best to keep you updated on new and wonderful products and reviews.
