Balance

You eat too much, you get over weight

And you are not happy.

You don’t eat enough, you get weak

And you are not happy.

You exercise too much, you get injured

And you are not happy.

You don’t exercise; you get out of shape,

And you are not happy.

You work too hard, you get burned-out

And you are not happy.

You don’t work, you feel useless

And you are not happy.

Everything in life should be with a balance,

Otherwise

You are not happy.

Relax!

When you feel stressed, over worked and under appreciated,

Do this little exercise;

Go to a cemetery.

Take a look at the gravestones of those whom reside there.

Many of them thought as you do that the whole world rested on their shoulders.

Understand when you get there eventually the world still go on just the same.

Live your life!

Enjoy every moment!

Do what you can with what you have!

Don’t stress over it!

Don’t take anything personally!

Don’t make assumptions!

Think good thoughts!

Say good words!

Do good deeds!

Live a full and relaxed life!

Coaches's Corner

Value 101

When the legendary John Wooden was coaching basketball at UCLA, he seldom made home visits to prospective players. He did make an occasional exception, however, like the time he went to see an extremely talented prospect who had great potential to help his team.

Why Leaders Fail

Prevention is better than cure

Nobody can deny that to prevent an illness is far better than to have to cure one. So it's important to live a life that prevents illness from developing, rather than to have to deal with it afterwards. We want to be healthy and stay that way.

How?
There are 3 important points:

Love

"What does love mean?"
A group of  professional people posed this question to a group of
4 to 8 year-olds,
"What does love mean?"
The answers they got were broader and deeper  than anyone
could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis,
she couldn't bend over and paint hertoenails anymore.
So my  grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his handsgot
arthritis too.
That's love."

Giving

There is a wonderful mythical law of nature that
the three things we crave most in life --
happiness, freedom, and peace of mind --
are always attained by giving them
to someone else.

For cutting edge research

We are a beacon of light in a parent's darkest night.

We are where some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do more science, more quickly. Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases and most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never asked to pay. We've built America's 3rd-largest health-care charity, with a model that keeps the costs down and the funds flowing, so the science never stops.

Motivational

I Promise myself…

To be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind.

To talk health, prosperity to every person I meet.

To make all my friends feel that there is something of value in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best, and to expect the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.

To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature I meet a smile.

To give much time to the improvement of myself that I have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear, and too happy to permit presence of trouble.

Failure
A popular Japanese proverb declares: “Failure teaches success.” American philosopher and writer Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “It is defeat which educates us.” And writer Elbert Green Hubbard wisely notes that the only true failure is the person who doesn’t learn the lesson from the experience: “A failure is a person who has blundered but is not able to cash in on the experience,” he says.

A good way to begin the process of learning from
the experience is by analyzing your circumstances. Ask yourself these kinds of questions:

•  Why might this have happened?
• Could I have done anything to anticipate it or prevent it?
•  Am I politically naive?
•  Are there flaws in my work and approach that need correcting?
•  Was I working in the wrong environment for my style and interests?
•  How can I use this experience to positive advantage?
•  Where can I improve myself as a result of this experience?
