The Murwillumbah Branch line commences at Casino on the far north coast of New South Wales - Australia, where it meanders through the hilly country side for 130km to Murwillumbah.
Townships along the line include: Casino, Lismore, Bangalow, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Billinudgel, Burringbar, and Murwillumbah.

44210 hauls the up Goldcoast Motorail into Bangalow in 1982. The Station Master, Mr. Allan Battersby, can be seen in the bottom right corner preparing to exchange the "staff" for the next section.

In 1991 the railway AK Test train traversed the line to examine the track and infrastructures integrity. The results were astounding, it showed that the line, although it was classified as a branch line, was 87% in better condition then that of the main line from Sydney to Brisbane.
