 of this organization that shall help to uphold the

security and  well-being of the youth. Adapt the right

moral idealism and integrity in order to implant within

us the correct values, the vivacity of patriotism and

 the importance of brotherhood and sisterhood

to predestine the true behavior towards

God, Country and Society.

 

CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

OF

ALPHA ZETA EPSILON SIGMA

PHILIPPINES

 ARTICLE 1

OBJECTIVES

 

Section 1 -to develop a close relationship among  individuals.

 

Section 2 -to teach the members on the essential and fundamental s of leadership (in order to prepare them to assume the positions of responsibilities in the future)

 

Section 3 -to provide members with meaningful outlets of creativity and service.

 

Section 4 -to maintain and develop good study habit among members, to enable the members of the organization to achieve good or outstanding performance in a particular course taken up.

 

Section 5 –to give support and guidance to the members regarding the problems they have.

ARTICLE 2

MEETING

 

Section 1: Annual meeting – the annual meetings shall be held at the USC at every first and last Friday of the month.

 

Section 2: Monthly or special meeting- monthly meetings are held and made and organized by the president. During such meetings, the head shall render his monthly report to the members regarding the activities of the fraternity. Special meetings may be called as the need arises by the board of trustees.

 

Section 3: Notices – notices of date, time, and place of annual meetings every month shall be announced personally or delivered via text or mail at least one week before the call –up meeting. The notice of every special meeting shall state briefly the purpose of the current event, except those who have business and other important schedules.

 

Section 4:Waiver of notice- notice of the meeting may be waived verbally by any member of the board attending it.

 

Section 5: Quorum- a quorum for any meeting of the members shall consist of a majority of the members, such quorum must decide any question at the meeting, except those matters where the fraternity and sorority Code requires the affirmative vote of a greater position.

 

Section 6: Voting  – members shall be entitled to one vote, and they may nominate the person the wanted. They can vote either in person or by proxy.

 

  

ARTICLE 3 

TRUSTEES

 

Section 1: Board of trustees – the corporate owner of the fraternity shall exercise its property controlled by the board of trustees.

 

Section 2: Qualifications – no member shall be eligible for election to the board of trustees unless he or she has the ff. qualifications.

 

1.Must a college student and must have a proper conduct.

2.he must be a member of the noble brotherhood.

 

Section 3: Disqualifications of directors, trustees or officer – no member convicted by final judgment by final offence punishable by imprisonment for a period of exceeding six years, or a violation of this code committed with in five prior years to the date of his election or appointment, shall qualify as a trustee or officer.

 

ARTICLE 4

OFFICERS

 

Section 1: Officer- the officer of the brotherhood must follow the right effective way. They shall be elected by the board of trustees from among themselves. The Board may combine compatible offices in a single person.

 

Section 2: Term of office for officers – all officers of the fraternity shall hold a office for one year until their successor are duly elected and qualified.

 

 

ARTICLE 5

FUNCTIONS AND POWERS OF OFFICERS

 

Section 1: President – the president who shall be the number one trustee of the chapter shall be the chief executive officer of the fraternity and sorority. He shall preside in all meeting and must have a good influence in the members. He must have a qualified decision from the board of trustees. Together with the secretary of the chapter, they must follow- up the members every meeting and must have a record in a certain meeting to have a report during special meetings in the mother chapter.

 

Section 2: Vice-President  the vice president must be a qualificant of each member.  Shall exercise the power to support the president in full terms. When times of absence, the vice pres. Is highly required to facilitate the certain meeting.

 

Section 2: Rights of a member – a member must have the ff. rights

1.    To have the right to vote in full terms

2.    To participate in every activity and fun with the group.

3.    To avail the facilities of the noble brotherhood.

 

Section 3: Duties and responsibilities – a member must have the ff. responsibilities:

 

1.    To obey and comply the rules above them.

2.    To attend every meeting, just to be informed and fellowship with our fellow brothers.

3.    Pay the collection for every chapter.

 

Section 4: – a member must be qualified as an AZESIAN

 

Section 5: – a member who fails to attend the meeting without valid reason may be given some disciplinary actions due to the failure of attending or participating any meeting.

 

 

ARTICLE 7

GUIDELINES AND POLICIES

 

 

Section 1: – no form of physical initiation or other similar form of physical damage upon members, with out informing the officers and the board f trustees/

 

Section 2: – physical punishment and public humiliation shall not be employed as a measure against erring members.

 

Section 3: – the membership of AZES shall be exclusive to all students.

 

Section 4 – there will be no final rites until the board of trustees are present.

 

Section 5: – AZES shall submit to all rules and regulations around the community, country, and schools.

Section 6: – the organization must adhere the by-laws and would gradually  read, so that they may be award of the beauty of our beloved AZES.

 

Section 7: – Since the term of “Fraternity and Sorority” had in the past taken as a negative connation, let’s take privilege in reverting this saying to positive.

 

 

 

ARTICLE 8

SUSPENSION AND EXPULSION

 

Termination of members will be accordance with the rules and regulations of the fraternity and sorority. Any member of the fraternity may file charges against a member by filing a written complaint with the secretary of the Chapter and the board of trustees.

Section 1: – any member of the noble brotherhood caught having a relationship with our fellow sisters or brothers.

Section 2: – the board of Council can suspend and member for disloyalty and failed in his responsibilities as a member.

 

 

ARTICLE 9

FRATERNITY SEAL

 

 

Section 1:

 

The Alpha Zeta Epsilon Sigma is mainly composed of four petals, four sided polygon, rigid gear and the sun. the four petals holds the organization’s name. With innermost dignity and loyalty. The four sided polygon stands for the four folds namely: relationship, leadership, service and loyalty.  The first 30 members is represented by the gear who survived all odds and surpass the rigid pioneering initiation. The 16 rays of the sun illuminate the seal with pride and confidence. The four main bodies are bonded together with a sacred bond represented by a golden ring, bearing the word “primus pares simper fidelis pro frat rum” turn upside down will be a sword, ready to cut anyone who tries to destroy the sincerity and  the dignity of the seal down to size.

 

 

ARTICLE 10

AMMENDMENTS

 

Section 1: Amendment – these by-laws, or any provision therefore maybe amended or repealed by a majority vote for the members and by a majority vote of trustees at any regular or special meeting duly held for purposes.


Adopted this 31st day of July in Cebu City by the affirmative vote of the board of trustees.
