The Gallop Out

About Me

I was born December 1, 1987. I have lived in Southern California all of my life, spending nearly all of it living in Apple Valley in the high desert. As a little girl, I  liked to draw dolphins, orcas, dinosaurs, and horsies. Lots of horsies. I eventually lost interest in the first three, but my interest in horses has continued, despite never having been around them for any prolonged period of time. I became interested in horse racing primarily because of easy accessibility to it on television. When I happened to click on over to Fusaichi Pegasus winning the Kentucky Derby, I was hooked. My first ever day at a racetrack was when Azeri lost the 2003 Lady's Secret B.C. Hcp., ending her winning streak. I was so crushed that I  vowed I would never go to a racetrack again. Azeri is my favorite horse all-time (so far), and any racetrack is now my favorite place in the world.

I am self-taught in both photography and drawing/painting. I graduated as a distinguished scholar from my high school and am now attending California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, with a major in Communications (emphasis in journalism). My other interests besides horse racing include movies, sports, general photography, general art, video games, and offroad dirtbike riding.
