Are
You Afraid Of The Dark to me was one of the best shows in the 90's. I
think Nickelodeon really sucks for taking it off the air. To bring back

The
Ayaotd opening with the boat,swings,clown, etc., was not the original
opening. The original opening only lasted for the very first episode.
It started out with a blue sky with clouds. There was a wooden door
that popped up and then it opened as you went through it. It came to a
black screen with gust's of wind that formed the words Are you afraid
of the dark.- By the second episode, the opening had changed. It was
the one with the boat,swings,clown, etc., but there was no music. Just
sound effects and a heartbeat in the background. Also at the end of
that one, the hand with the match came from the side instead of the
bottom. By the second season, I believe the opening that you are most
familiar with came on.
The stuff they put in the fire to make it spark up was really Coffee Mate and sugar.
