Sept 17th, 2003: From Das Heer
Coming on or around Nov 1,2003, All Heer Formations will be relocated to Historical Areas of Operation. Heer Command understands that some units prefer to stay where they are. In keeping with the tradition of working with all Heer units. This AO shift will be historic in the fact that Das Heer will accept any transfer requests to stay in the AO you are now in. How do you do this? you will email Feldmarschall Calistor or Generaloberst levi822 with your request, they will do their best to accomedate your transfer requests. !S and good hunting in your new AO's

Heroes In Grey: My Experiences As A Youth In The Wehrmacht
1939 to 1945

As a young graduate student working on his thesis under the alleged disguise of touring historical places throughout Europe, I was fortunate enough to be able to visit the Bundesarchives in Germany.
During my first and subsequent journeys there, I discovered what to me is one of the most enlightening and genuine journals of one man’s view of his experiences in the awful realities of World War II. Despite being on the wrong side from my distinctly American perspective, the story of this young man’s experiences and observations were genuine and had a strong resonance with me.
Such a story I felt should not be forgotten in a dusty and dark warehouse so here is my gift to you as a student of history.
Here is the initial installment and translation of Heroes In Grey: My Experiences As a Youth In The Wehrmacht, 1939 to 1945 as written by Kristophe Schultz, a young German Lieutenant in the German Army. Please forgive the errors in translations and the sometimes incompleteness of the information as this entire ‘work’ is still in small faded brown journals with fragile and yellowed paper. Hopefully I can get it micro-filmed when I receive a grant.
The first several journals of this memoir may still be intact but they are not contained within the Bundesarchives as best as I can tell. I am continuing to contact various Wehrmacht veterans groups and the Schultz family. It appears Lieutenant Schultz’s widow donated the memoirs shortly after his death. If the story appears to be historically out of chronological order in future published accounts, it is because my tireless efforts may have borne fruit but after the initial publication and translation of the first ‘discovered’ journals.

This was the last place I should be. Sitting at a table, drinking strong coffee, in the middle of the Cornered Rats fortified compound, with a hidden tape recorder, across from “Mo”, aka: Chris Sherland. And it was hot. Really, how do people live in this? Give me about 4 feet of snow and the mercury hovering right at Zero degrees Fahrenheit, and I am in my own slice of heaven. This…this is just wrong.
I was hundreds of miles behind enemy lines, sitting across from someone who really should not be talking to me. I know what would happen if they found out whom I was, but God knows what would happen to him. Mo had been one of the more reclusive Rats, rarely seen outside of the Compound. It took me 4 weeks to prove that he even existed; months to set up this interview, originally trying to get him to Brussels, but that fell through. They would barely let him out of the Rat Bunker in the light of day, never mind letting him wander freely in a large city in the middle of a war zone to talk with a known war criminal. If I wanted to interview him, I had to go to him.
I had a lot of questions, but we had to be careful here. Guards constantly were patrolling by as I tried to get my questions to him, without being noticed.
”The biggest news with 1.9 is depot spawning. How do you see depot Spawning changing the strategies and how the game is played?” I asked. “Do you have a specific plan involved on how depot spawning should be used?”

August 2003: The Battle of Britain has Begun
On this date August 1, 1940
Began the amazing march to victory, which bore it to the helm of the Reich, to leadership of the nation and its destiny. For months now we have been waiting for the  great air battles over England to begin. The day has come and our mission must be accomplished.. English production and armaments factories are being destroyed by our Mighty Luftwaffe Bomber fleets as we speak as fighters are having unbelievable success in downing enemy planes. We wonder how long it can go on. We are eager to get into action, and almost fear that the victory will be over before we get to do anything.
