Awareness Matters is run by Anna Jackson, an experienced Disability Awareness trainer. She delivers Disability Awareness Training, Disability Discrimination Act Courses and carries Access Audits for Employers and Service Providers.

She is a graduate with a background in Sports Coaching and development, and Youth Work and has worked as an instructor with the Air Training Corps since 1992.
She plays Wheelchair Basketball for the Great Britain Women’s team and the Chester Wheelchair Jets and has taken part in the 1998 and 2002 World Championships, Won bronze at the 1999 and 2003 European Championships and went to the highly acclaimed Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. The Great Britain team won Silver at the 2005 Paralympic World Challenge in Manchester and came fourth at the 2005 European Championships in France.
Anna has had a disability for the last 12 years and uses her experience of sport and disability to deliver innovative and exciting training courses. To date she has carried out training with a number of organisations including Habitat, Disability Sport Cymru, Denbighshire Libraries, Cheshire Libraries, Countess of Chester Hospital, British Aerospace, Chester Volunteer Bureau, Cheshire Probation Service, Enable Holidays, a number of Chester Medical Centres and many more.
Anna combines her experiences of sport and disability to produce exciting and innovative courses – encouraging people to examine their own views and beliefs.
