MY AVON BLOG SCENTMAN.net won Bravenet Journal of the week!

You may have spotted my bros and me handing out AVON hand sanitizer & fragrance treat bags on Davie Street Halloween night.  We had a great time dressing up and handing them out.   

                   After a miriad of computer issues [camera driver, printer died]   and with the OLYMPICS in full swing here in Vancouver I haven't blogged here in a while.  I was pleased when I won Journal of the Week from Bravenet but since then have not had a chance to get back at it.  My AVON business is growing slowly but surley  LOL.  I have a great customer base and am planning all sorts of stuff for spring/summer 2010.  I am having an on going fundraiser starting next month called "SPANK THE MONKEY" A McLaren Housing Fundaiser.  It is to raise funds for those who have HIV and AIDS get adaquate housing.  You can check out the OFFICIAL website  www.spankthemonkey.ca   [still in progress]  for a sneak peek.  I have also just recieved a list from the City of Vancouver with all the events that are taking place this year.  I am going to pitch a tent at as many as I can get to.   Being a man selling AVON I have obsticles to overcome that women don't.   I literally have to go to a place that is more community minded to meet potential customers, not just knocking on someones door and saying "AVON CALLING".  I also have been experiencing what I call AVONLADY SABOTAGE.  People tearing down my posters and print materials as well as tossing my books out.  It's rude and unacceptable but it happened to me the last time I sold AVON.  I just have to watch where I put my stuff.  I guess there are some nasty types out there who don't like my presence in the West End... TOO BAD/SO SAD!  LOL  I am not discouraged...  I am off now to drop off books and make some deliveries.  Wish me luck!
